well, as far as i know, i'm straight.... but then again, considering my oh so often personnality changes, anything is possible... but i don't really care about people's sexuality... i mean, tastes aren't questionable and a person is valuable regardless of their sexuality... and i respect the choice of those who consider this a private matter, even if i really don't think hiding your sexuality helps in any way to stop homophobic tendencies, but that's just an opinion... then again, as long as everyone remains true to themselves, i guess that's what counts ^^

i can quite honestly say right now that any sexuality does not bother me in the least - despire me being brought up as a lovely christan girl by my dad (who, coincidentally, is a priest). doh. anyway, i myself am straight, though once i did explore the bi side of things.

I think it's funny how there's this perception that gay people are trying to nail straight ones. I've only been hit on once in my 42 years, and nothing was ever "forced" on me. A simple "No thanks, not interested" works fine (and worked with no hurt feelings the one time I was hit on by a guy).
The whole paranoia about gay people suddenly attacking straight ones and demanding sex is laughable.

hmm, I have nothing against gays/bi people though, I have some friends who are gay even, they can be the nicest people in the world, just as straight people can.totally agree. Sometimes they can be very charming. A friend of mine (he's gay), made an arrangement for a friend of his and me too meet. We dated after that for 2 years. I feel sorry that it's over and stuuf though we're kind of best friends but anyhow....
And so now I don't has nothing against bi or homo. It's common knowledge for me now, that they're not different at all.

as Masarusu said before, the whole term of "being proud" is because of the way society treats gay people (which is mostly bad if you ask me... gays are rejected out of society and in the end they have to keep their sexual identity as a secret) that's why lots of various terms refer to the whole "pride" thing - gays should be proud of who they are, and shouldn't hide it nor be ashamed of it. (actually, i can agree with these aspects, but i don't think this way, cus i'm, for example, not proud of it).

Im a bi and I'm proud of what I am only one of my friends is bi and most don't know about it yet I've been a bi for about a year now and i've never had a boyfriend or a girlfriend mainly because I suffer from aspergis syndrome and find it difficult to open up to people I belong to a christian family but they don't reject me for being a bi(yes the church does accept us). I dont care if people pick on me of assault me for being what I am, I like being who I am lonely or not people should just give up thier pointless predjudices against gay's and bi's and learn to accept them instead of being utter ***theads and treating us unfairly we have just the same right to live in this world as anybody else fullstop

The societal tolerance and pride issue is important, no doubt about it. Having pride in who you are is good; that'w why we see all those community groups like Shriners, Miss Daffodil Festival, etc. in all the hometown parades around the world. Some places celebrate anyone, regardless of background; others frown on anyone outside very narrow cultural and moral boundaries and oftentimes actively harrass or persecute those groups.
I think the Information Age (brought about in large part by the Internet and easy access to it) is increasing tolerance and diversity. Most folks on the Internet are tolerant and forgiving, because there are so many cultures and opinions running around that it's more interesting to be friends with someone than it is to be their enemy.
Despite the labeling we're all prone to, there's nothing wrong with being gay, bi, hetero, or even asexual (a good friend of mine has zero sex drive -- it's just the way he's wired). Heck, if you want to use the Internet to "come out" that's fine, too, because there are a lot of safe forums to discuss the issues that people come across in their hometowns and with family.
I guess I just don't find it odd that there are guys who like looking at guys, girls who like looking at girls, or people who appreciate the attractiveness of both sexes. The human body is often capable of great physical beauty; it's better to appreciate beauty wherever it's found than to cut oneself off from half the species.
