After reading Celessa's thread here, it gives me an idea. I just don't have a clue about women, and how they think, and all that after 3 girlfriends. I have gave up on the cause after my last gf, but seeing how the princess call out the guys, I will called out the girls to respond.

Women are just flat out unpredictable. They are a total mystery to me, and I think most of the guys here will agree with me that in one time in your life that a girl will drive you nuts.

Here is my list:

1. Why do girls always ask your opinion when they already made the decision themselves. Like buying clothes, they would try out tons of them while you are waiting for the world to end. :D Then they asked you whether you like it, and they will scold you if you gave them a simple answer. Are they playing a tirck on us?

2. Why do girls like to go to the restroom together in public, you don't see another guy ask his friend to go to the restroom together? *Yo Bob, come with me to the restroom* That just don't happen ever, if it does I wonder what kind of bar are you in. ;) Is there bogyman in those public restroom for girls to need compainon?

3. Why do girls ask guys to take care any creatures that frighten them then turn around to say that you don't want to watch when we put it away. That makes no sense, don't you girls want to know what happen when you decide to invoke the aid of a guy, that bug or mouse will be in harm's way. It is gross, but it will give you girls pause next time not to jump the gun on seeing anything that moves.

4. This is for the gf, why do gf always ask what are you thinking. I don't think too much, and when I tell them that they think I am shutting them out. I just could never understand that.

Why do girls always think guys are pevert, and that we think nothing but sex. That is not true, I think girls know more about sex than they would admit themselves. :)

5. This one last thing drives me crazy, I think you guys always heard from girls that they like a man with a sense of humor or really funny. That is just a lie, they like fine looking guys such as someone like a skii instructor, and they don't have to be funny at all. Girls will gave cute guys that flirting laugh, I think you guys know what I am talking about. Girls will laugh at some of the worst humor just because that guy was good looking.

Hope some of you girls can explain those behavoirs, and please don't hurt the messenger such as myself. :D

lol - why do boys always say "Whoa?!" to a girl stripping down, almost barely half-naked in front of their own eyes? And then start screaming it all over town about girls taking off their dresses - tsk tsk. But hey Mordin - I said most boys are perverted, not all. There are some guys I highly am starting to respect nowadays, but look at the way some of these boys are behaving.

I find it funny if the main reason why guys like to hoot off and act all perverted is just to try and catch a girl's attention. **Scoffs** I'll have to say, guys like it when girls fight around with them. Weirdness indeed. They always tend to look at things in a totally different perspective.

Is that true? Never been there before - and I never flirt or think about relationships at all - not even once. But I've seen it happen - and it's probably better to hear it off a girl who has more experience than me. I know nothing of the sorts - I don't fall into this category here. lol

Intresting. are you just looki9ng at the general type of boys? I think you might be wrong if you do that. It mostly depends on the person you are looking at and what they like. Just expressing my opinion.

It's hard to comprehend female behavior at times, but we cannot control their actions and emotions. For instance, on my campus at Lincoln University, many of the girls do not even dance with me at the parties. Now you may ask why is that the case, but in reality, it could be your personality, your characteristics, or your ability to dance in a way that can attract them.

Also, the girls are willing to sit with other guys, but they aren't willing to sit next to me in the cafeteria. I usually end up alone unless I'm with my boys. What do they see in other people that they don't see in me? Well, I believe there are a few reasons. Some girls want someone who is conversational; they want a better understanding of the guy. The guys who have a hard time expressing themselves to the girls tend to be left alone (which is my case, but by now you'd think I'd be noticed).

Males tend to misunderstand female behavior until they go around girls and experience their behavior, and thus they may be able to get an understanding of the nature of a female.

I don't fall into that categoy either. Not all women are the way you describe... You shouldn't judge before you actually know them.

i think the only thing on Mordin's list that I'm guilty of is always asking my poor boyfriend "What are you thinking about?" I believe I do this because I'm not thinking about anything particularly interesting, ie that would make a good conversation starter, so I hope that he is.

This sure sounds like a war between opposite sex or something. But it is an interesting - not to mention eternal - discussion.

My best friends and I have those conversations quite often. One of them is rather hostile towards men (not ALL, but in general) and I am always the one protecting them.^^

So I'll try and answer some ofthe question, all right, Mordin?

1. About girls trying on clothes and asking you for opinion. Major stereotype, there... Yes, some of us are like that, but... Personally, I'm not. Okay, maybe I'm an exception. But girls aren't doing that to be mean or something. It's just the way they're programmed. Trying - too hard sometimed, mind you - to be the best for the guy they like and under-estimating themselves. Just be patient, uh?

2. True about going to the restroom together... *laughs* I just realized that I do that too! Maybe it's the feeling of insecurity... I mean, I don't need an escort if I'm at school, but in more crowded places (mall, movies...) it makes more sense to stay in a group, I guess. Funny how I never really thought of it before...

3. I hate spiders. But I hate seeing them die as well. That's one big mystery. Maybe it's better not to ask.

Guy are pervereted. But I so are the girls. I know only few teenagersa that don't think about sex. It's quite normal, I find.

i enjoy watching guys washing cars or whatever... especially if they have their top off. Summer is great because you see those guys up on roofs. *blushes* But that's my own little pleasures, I guess...

But I have nothing against guys. Actrually, quite often I prefer guys company. When I'm not with three of my best friends. Those are the rare girls I can stand for hours and days at a time withough getting irritated. But I have nothing against girls either. Peace and love 'till the end!

Wow...this is truly an interesting...debate (?). Trying to understand girls? Impossible. Sometimes, we girls don't even understand ourselves. Though one thing for sure, some of the questions you asked...do no apply to all girls.

Going to the bathroom together? lol. We talk in there. What we talk about...well, think of it yourselves. Normally stuff we can't say in front of boys, or at least something like that. Not always, mind you.

Just makes us feel better about our purchase. There are many things we can buy in a single shop, let alone on a whole shopping trip. ^-^
Personally, I feel much more secure if my friend/friends agree that whatever I buy is nice, and a good buy. And well, if you go shopping with your girlfriend, she naturally turns to you. For my part, I don’t really expect a deep response from a guy, but I guess some girls expect more 0.0 …

Well i can't speak for all guys (but now i know i'm not alone- thanks Mordin), but around a girl i often go into a"perception" mode where i'm not really thinking of anything, just taking in my surroundings. I mean, isn't it perfectly reasonable to let my mind just wander over everything without stopping to think? the warmth and softness of her skin, the sound of cicadas outside, the shadow effect from the ceiling fan, the smell of dinner in the oven... i'm just perceiving all this sensory input now to think about later, because i don't want to take my mind off of the present for a moment.

did that kind of make sense? ^_^?

and even when i am thinking something, it's not easy to put it into words. For as easy as that is for girls, i'd swear you all think in words. Do you? How do most people think? I mean, i'm an engineer and most of us think in pictures, but how about everyone else?

hahaha, i read this post and laughed and laughed! Sooo funny! I guess I'll give some of my opinions, though I don't konw if it will actually help^_^'

1) You must not have had very fun shopping experiences if you are scolded for giving your opinion OX . If I was shopping with a guy and I asked for their opinion on something, I would honestly want their opinion, and I would hope they maybe cared a little...I don't think I would scold them, unless they said something completely ridiculous, lol.

2) Hmm, thats not really true for all girls really. I don't take group bathroom trips with my friends...maybe if we all had to go at the same time, or if we were in the middle of an important conversation...but I actually perfer to go alone, thank you very much!

3) Well, I guess I have a thing with spiders, and I don't like to see them alive or dead, ewww! But I really don't feel sorry for them...perhaps I'm just mean...but I can't help it if I have a little phobia of them! Some bugs just get to people, and I'm sure there are guys who are afraid fo them as well ;)

4) Maybe if the girl is asking what you are thinking, they are merely trying to invoke a conversation. Who wants to sit in silence forever?
Of course not all guys are perverts! Perhaps girls who think that have had bad experiences with perverted guys, and it left a mark...I don't really know...

5) Not all girls are as shallow as that! Some sincerely want someone who makes them laugh, who makes them happy and is fun to be with! Remember that guys can go after the most beautiful airheaded blonde, and girls can go after the most dense hunk...but that doesn't mean all girls are that way and neither are all guys, so don't worry! :)

It's probably better to hang around with more girls to get a grasp on how females think - a few of my friends from university who are guys actually do find hanging around with girls more fun than hanging around with their buddies. I'm not ashamed of them, if they admit saying so themselves.

Here are some pearls of wisdom, I guess. Since you and I are along the same age range this will hopefully be helpful.
1. Okay when a girl asks you a question that she already has an answer for she wants you to agree with her. Sometimes this makes us think that the two of us are thinking on the same wavelength. Now HERE IS THE pearl - whenever a girl asks if you like what she is wearing always say yes and tell here that she looks wonderful in whatever she is wearing and that you love her (if you do, otherwise don't say it). This will make her feel like you are sensitive and caring. Yes it might be a lie but you just dodged an argument. ^_^

2. Sometimes going to the restroom in public means we want to talk about you or we just don't want to leave our friend at the table alone, or we just both need to potty and are not trying to be vulgar and ask "do you need to pee!"

3. Okay bugs don't really freak me out, so I am not use to the whole "kill it-kill it -kill it" scenerio. NO clue

4. We are emotional creatures so silence to us sometimes conveys secrecy, pain, etc. We just want to make sure you are happy. So the only way we can make sure is by asking. I know this can sometimes be upsetting but bare with us, we have a reason.

i will not lie, girls do know a lot about sex, however we keep it to ourselves usually. It is more likely to see a guy expressing sexual thoughts than a girl. We are more of daydreamers, guys seem to be more vocal on the subject.

5. You are right. Girls do like fine guys but we define "fine" differently. Fine IS a sense of humor (at least for me). Looks fade, personality is a most because it never changes.

I've thought about this before. I honestly think that I think in both - it depends on what I'm thinking about. I took a lot of English classes, and we had to practice describing things and all that - so for me the thinking in words thing may be a matter of training.
(I do know that I know nothing at all about engineering ... ;))

And about the bugs ...
My bf likes spiders and bugs, so he scoops them up and takes them outside. I really don't care what he does with them as long as they're far away from me. I don't get all weirded out if he has to smoosh one, though. I, however, do not want to do the smooshing. But I will if I have too ... XP

Oh! And about extremely hot guys - in my experience they're great to look at, not so great as boyfriends. They tend to wander on to greener pastures easily - probably because they know they can. Buttheads. :hmpf:

okay, interesting response to celessa's thread loll, hum, considering i mostly hang around boys, i'm not sure i understand girls... myself included ^_^' now, i don't know about the other girls, but i'll answer your points as they apply to me ^^
first off, yes we are unpredictable, not gonna deny that. Hell, i'm even unpredictable to myself, it's not that i want to piss you guys off or anything, i'm just done that way... and i piss myself off sometimes as well, go figure... (this whole hormone thing must play a role in it loll)

1. i don't go shopping with guys, or if i do, i don't try clothes with them, much less ask for their opinion, that i'd rather ask another girl ^^ oh, and be wary of the "always say it looks good" advise from Kumiko-H, although it works with a lot of girls, in my case, i know it would piss me off if my boyfriend for exemple lied to me about thinking a clothe looks good on me when it doesn't... but to understand girls, i guess it does feel good to be complimented once in a while, and that's what girls who ask are asking for i think... ^^

2. i don't get that one either... i guess it's just the fear of having to put make-up on all by herself... if i need to go to the bathroom, i don't need to ask for a girl to follow me, unless i wanna talk in private without the guys listening...

3. not afraid of bugs, mice, bats... in fact, it pains me more to kill them than to keep them alive, i just catch them and bring them outside... i work in a factory in summer, so bugs and stuff are everywhere, gotta get used to them ^^

4. the not talking thing... heu.. really don't know anything about it... i guess it's just curiosity in some way, and trying to understand how you guys feel... or maybe as kimifox said, it's just coz' we want to find something more interesting to talk/think about loll

i... heu, honestly, i don't believe guys are anymore perverts than girls, i just think they're less secretive about it... then again, one of my girlfriends is worse than all the boys i hang out with gathered, just to give you an idea... and from hanging out with guys all the time, i know there is a soul deeply buried under all the "sex" talk ^^...

5. well, i'll rule out that problem right away, i don't flirt... i don't know how, and i'm not interested in learning... i talk to the guys that actually have something to say, regardless of their appearance... of course, if they know how to laugh it's an advantage though, i mean, no one likes to talk to someone who's mad 24/7...

and melmachine, i'm sorry to hear you say that really, this coming from a girl who never had a single guy do as much as flirt with her... so, tell yourself there are member of the other sex in your situation loll true i hang out with guys, but they're just friends, and it's mostly coz' i don't agree well with other girls unless they're "tomboys"... don't ask me why... anyways, hope you'll find someone who appreaciates your "mystery" (don't know how else to call it ^^)

lol, thanks to the ladies that answer my questions. Thanks for clearing some of the mystery for me. One reason I generalize all of my points is the fact that I don't have a clue where to start. Most of you gals thinks I shouldn't judge before I know what I am talking about, but that is what the whole thread is for. I am assuming a lot of premises on this subject, because I have no way of knowing how different each women could be since I have a tough enough time understanding one. :D The best I could give you gals is a guess, not facts, so I hope you gals don't take it the wrong way. If I knew the answer, I wouldn't need to ask would I. :D Since I am a very big fool when it comes to the opposite sex.

Of course I don't intent to categorize all the gals as the same, but I can't find the answer if I hide my ignorance. I think most guys would agree with me on that. So I hope I don't offend any of you gals, because I can sense a lot of strong respond in this thread from the ladies. :) I also hope by bringing this out that you gals would be more tolerable to the guys' foolishness. I guess relationship between man and woman is a constant adjustment, but I guess I need to work harder to improve my skills with the ladies. :D

loll, don't worry Mordin, i don't know about the other girls, but your thread didn't offend me in the least... actually, i found it funny to see the guys perspective on us ^^ and as i said, there are some truths to it... just not truths that can be applied to every single girl ^^

the best advice i can give you to understand girls is to actually hang out with girls... you'll realize girls themselves don't understand their own behaviour ^^ (well, it's my case anyway ^^)

Mordin, with your class schedule, you don't have time to be deciphering women. :D

I've learned to appreciate the differences rather than get frustrated by them. My wife and I joke about them all the time. I guess that the differences fade into insignificance once you find your best friend / soul mate. If you aren't truly best friends then the differences become annoyances and that ain't good.

The only behavior I'll comment on is when I'm quiet and my wife asks if everything is okay. It's a funny question because if something is wrong I'm the first one up out of my seat ranting and bellowing about it. I'm quiet because I have nothing to say. But we laugh about it and go on.

I've learned to appreciate the differences rather than get frustrated

As always mike, your wisdom humbles me. :) It isn't easy to find a mate that matches one complete, because best friends/soul mate don't often come together in the same package. I have dated with one of my best friend once. We are very alike and compatible in every way, but we just don't have any passion for each other. It felt like I was dating my sister. :) I guess opposite personality don't excatly make the realtionship harmonious, because my parents are perfect example of volatile couples. Beside my current schedule as you so happily mention :D isn't excatly inducive to building a stable relationship, so I guess I need to find a gal that can tolerate me and my pressure workload. :)
