interesting topic.....well...
I do express myself more on the internet then in real life......I dun really feel comfortable in reallife.....only
talking with my good friends...(I dun really have best friends...I dun put them in that category) and I rarely take a
step to talke to a girl or something.....yes I am shy.....my whole life.....
well..I got some feeling...it's like...when you know eachother not so good......then you'll be treaded nice
and with respect....but if you know eachother well.....then people won't tread you so well...(well that's my
opinion....I got that experience from people).....like some stupid jokes.....or hitting you for nothing......no good
behavior......real life....I never feel comfortable with a girl or something......but on the internet......I talk for
80% to girls.....20% boys.....well...mayb it's just that boys won't chat so active......and I usually got a
little lonely or borred feeling.....and talking to boys....the chat will end over 5 minutes or something......to
girls.....I dare to talk about my feelings and secrets....even If I never saw her or know her
well.....allright...internet...is not real.....you can't see eachother....can't touch eachother...so....there
will be a great difference.....but I like to talk on the internet....real life isn't that great for
me........I'm really quit in real life.....but I'm adopting and try to change myself to be more open to people
and the public.....like watch someone and smile or say: hello....and I never saw that person or know that person. I had
the problem that I dun dare to talk to people...or ask questions.......but I changed alot comparing to couple years
back....never played outside with friends..in my primaryschool years.it was extremely rare....always sitting at
home......but know....I lucky got a i-net...and just sometimes I'll ask some friends to watch a movie or play
bowling and things.....I really feel relaxed on the i-net....expressing myself...let my feelings go.....compare to my
real life.....but there is no big difference....I'm always beeing nice at real life...it's just that I'm
more closed in real life and more open on the i-net....(mayB it's saver....but I dun have that feeling)...also on
the i-net...I made alot of foreign friends....and some of them are really nice and respectfull.....and that's rare
for me.....but mayB it's just a dummy of their real personality....I dunno....until then....I'll keep
expressing my self on the i-net.......(sorry for the repetition asnwers -_-"....)

I'll have to say yes, I am a little more expressive online than off line.
Sure there are people you exagerate with, becuase it's fun and they return the favor being overly expressive; but with online friends I tend to be more Emotional, since I can be more honest and talk about more delicate things than just goof off with people i barely know.
I've had experiences where some people are geniunely honest, and others where they dont even care that there are other people on the other side of the computer monitor; it mostly depends on how long you've known some people on line and how much trust you are willing to give them, it helps when they are also open and honest to you.
I believe part of this boost of emotions comes because the other person(s) are not physically there, so you compensate a little making sure they pay attention to you; that and youre not afraid of being hurt since you measure some people before opening up.
Then again, that could be just me :P

Like Bucket-shot I'm better at things online than offline. While I'm genuine and honest in both online and offline worlds, I can talk more freely and compose my thoughts more clearly in the online world than the offline world. Typing your thoughts down gives me more of a chance to think and revise words so I get my point across more accurately. Plus I'm a lot more timid offline because I'm afraid that what I want to say doesn't count for anything and therefore I don't deserve or feel compelled to say anything. I'm working on that in the offline world, but changing parts of personalities takes time. :nya:

Lets see.. I'm not to quiet offline, quite willing to talk about my interests or the current politics etc with almsot anyone, but I am more confident of expressing my emotions to a girl. But that's more a matter of the writing things out than the online phenomenon itself. Even before I got online some ten years ago, I had used computers to calmly write out everything I was thinking about, and quietly slid an envelope under her door.

Well actually I think in general people can communicate much better face-to-face, and personally I am never really a shy person. I can easily express myself in front of people, friends or strangers, it makes no difference to me. I'd much rather talk to someone in person than through the internet because it makes me understand alot more about a person.
In fact, my job requires me to meet up with new clients on a regular basis and people skill is absolutely essential. I do rather enjoy public speaking, and I host my own seminars on investing for various audiences. :D
The only thing that I can't show as well offline is to make smiley like this:
:) :D XD XP
or say things like this:
Yay!!!!!!!!! OMG u are so l4et! XP

I find that I can expressive myself better on the internet than in real life. I can't seem to be able to find a way to express myself while offline to many people except for a few good friends. Also, while offline i'm not too good at making much friends as well and am considered a quiet person. So I open up more with people online more than those offline though i'm trying to change and get that personality to go to real life as well.

Definitely. I'm pretty self-conscious and shy and have an annoying tendency to babble...On the internet, there's no one staring at me waiting for me to speak and that allows me to think better about what I want to say...This gives me more confidence to express what I think.

I sometimes do, but then I sometimes don't. It just really depends on who I'm talking to. I just also hope that they won't take things that I say for granted...
