i was wondering if any one knew of some good japanese PSP games
i started thinking about this when i saw a Bleach fighting game for the PSP in a store near my house...
and now i'm wondering if there are other good ones

I don't know of any off hand, but I would be very interested to hear about any. Word had it there was to be a Naruto fighting game too.

Is there any word on how compatible the Japanese games will be on the PSP? Will I have to get it one modded or DL some sort of firmware?

Adding onto what everyone else said, so the Music fo UMD isn't either i've read. For japanese games, i have the bleach one and it's not that great.

PSP is b/s period. It's a higher version of the gameboy put out by sony. I only dislike it really, for the simple back that you must buy all new games in order to play it. You can't use existing games and have some kind of loader device. This is a fact they should have looked over a bit more thoroughly.

I dont think there is a way to make an American PSP play Japanese UMD movies. That is kinda the point.I think region encoding sucks in general and its a shame (though not unexpected) to hear that they included it on PSP movies. But I probably wouldn't use my PSP to play movies much anyway and I have a region free DVD player so I'll still probably get one.
