Do u use a TV tuner ? I have a TV tuner in my comp. I usually use it for capturing scenes or movie from TV,especially Anime,so I don't have to buy the DVD anymore. How about u? Are u same like me? ^^ Cancel

i have one and i use it for the same purpose as you ^_^ but the quality isn't as great as dvd unfortunately. And there is often the tv broadcaster logo in some places ^_^ but it's sure it's less expensive than dvd's and of quite good quality :) Cancel

I've got one on my computer but I don't use it though. I'd rather watch using a TV then on my comp, bigger screen. XD It would be handy if I did use it though. ^_^' Cancel

I've got one that I am using to archive a bunch of old VHS tapes I have. Everything from home videos to anime. I also use it to record old Amiga demos to divx from an a3000. I don't have cable, but I'm trying to figure out how to hook the antenna in my bedroom into the rats nest of cables under the house so that I can record stuff that comes through broadcast. Cancel

I got one. My computer's a Windows Media Center Edition 2005 so it comes with a TV tuner. I can watch TV in a little floating window on my computer while using Photoshop. It's the best if you ask me. Cancel

I used to, until I moved and got busy. Now I need to buy another one hence my orginals are old and not compatible. I used it for many reasons. One, it's cool to watch TV on your computer. Two, for video editing. I did a lot of that in high school. My card also had a TV out ;) Third, no so much avoding to by DVDs as more a replacement for my VCR. It's better quality, I can edit the commercials out, recompile the vid and watch it commercial free. Which bring me to my next buy of a TV tuner. I'll be getting one at some time to create my own Tivo. There are already completed linux projects of Tivos out there. Just have to buy the right card :D Cancel

I have one, but I only use it to play Gran Turismo 4 every now and then. It comes in handy for recording old stuff from my ancient camcorder, but it doesn't see much action other than that. Cancel

I don't have a TV tuner. I "borrowed" a nifty old device from school. It looks like a black router except a lot smaller. You can plug a yellow video in on one end to the TV, and the thing itself has a monitor B plug protruding out of it. I use it to watch anime on my vanilla old 1992 - 50 in. Panasonic TV! Yeay Beyond the Clouds big screen! Cancel
