You should express yourself rather than keeping it in. If something is on your mind about a certain person or you need to tell that person something, then perhaps you should discuss it with them and let them know how you feel...

If you're on relations with both your parents I suggest that you try and keep in frequent contact with both, whether it be phone, mail, or e-mail. Also, make it noticeable to both this way they'll know that you're uncomfortable with it.:D
