Sorry, but I still don't see how you can call it cumbersome. It's the size of a showbox for Christ's sake >_> .

Lol, a totally different meaning :P .
Yea, of course it's cramped in there and I use to think that would be a problem, but it's nicely laid out and once it's all in, it's not a problem.

Quote by sarakhm, i would prefer the mac mini ^^~
An ibook is the same price and it's laptop, cause with the mac mini after buying other stuff to be able to use it, the price is higher than the ibook.I'm interested to build a Shuttle-like.

One of the features : playing Audio CD and MP3 on the hard disc or USB key without booting the PC, like a MP3-stereo.I'm not sure if I'll buy it. Have to think about evolution, number of hard discs, of DVD-Rom/Burner Drives (it's cool to have 1 to read and 1 to burn)...
If I'll buy it, it's to support my present PC a tower, not to replace it.
The heat is not such problem with new stuff and good stuff. Here a review : click in the pix

Does this come in more color?

Each model is only one colour, but some have covers that can be changed and you could always do some DIY on them.

Okay, this is just plain stupid but this happened on real life:
A friend mine also has a tiny model like this so when it was time for some customizations he found a an entire family of cockroaches inside. Now it wouldn't be much of a problem but the roaches were roasted to a crisp inside.
So, since this is particularly small, fan-cooling is an option but being cramped up like that is gonna take more than just cooling down, you need at least a bath to dowse that baby.

Erm, well it can get hot, but not anywhere near hot enough to cause problems, so there really isn't any problem ^^ .

I run a sn85g4v3 with a 3400+ as my main box. 9800xt in there, Raptor HDD, It doesn't get hot at all. It's even less of an issue with 90nm Winchester core AMD64s. I have dozens more.
I love how people look a picture then 'see' it's too hot, and 'see' it's not as fast.

Hmmmm... I remember having seen a computer case that looked more like a hi-fi minicomponent rather than a PC. And this one looks terribly similar!

I'm not too fond of Shuttle either. I built a PC using Shuttle casing and the system died on me. Couldn't figure out what went wrong so I chucked the case and recycled as much hardware I can and bought regular case to rebuild my system.

Then again, I've built dozens and none are defective. Why didn't you RMA it?

I was thinking about building a lan machine using one of these, but the money ran out. x_x
I'd never use one for my home system, however (I'm at 4 hard drives and nowhere near stopping). For something that's going to sit on my desk, bigger = better (i.e.- The stacker).- May 05, 2005
