Whether you go there for news, reviews, favorite characters or series', whatever...
A game-related site that I use frequently is IGN, which offers a helpful way to keep track of your game collection (more than a few of which that have strong Anime connections) see what's up and coming, rate games, etc.
An Anime news, and series resource that's been helpful more than a few times as well is the Anime News Network which provides news, natch, but also is extrmely helpful in tracking down info. on anime series' in one spot:
