why are all the greatest anime and art styles, turn into hentai? I mean they have such great works of art they wouldnt need to do that. i just want to know how everyone else feels about this

Because an anime artist can't live with the money that they gain with his normal art. Doing hentai give them more income. Its sad but true.

Nah, it's the money. A fair number of them would much rather be doing "real anime." I imagine it feels a lot like prostituting yourself. There's still some hope. They could always break through like GANTZ's artist did.

The main reason for hentai is that there are people out there who will watch it and pay for it as well. The artists do get paid more for doing Hentai. I wont dis anybody who draws that way. If they want to use an anime character then by all means use it. There are anime companies (wont name which ones) that do their own Hentai.
I find nothing wrong with it. If you dont like it dont look that is my way of thinking.

well yah i see all your points, and id much rather see hentai then real stuff because, at least its the great artists, and lucy's right its art but its still porn, and hentais nothing more than rape half the time.....all the time. And don't you feel remorse for being in the worst business when it comes to anime, i mean if I ever did anything like that, people would look at me like i was satan, and thats how i think that the people who do this probably feel. i want to get money for being a real artist, not a pimp artist robot thing, and i would stick through the bad times, to do my job. Heh there are good artists who don't use hentai but still.---------------------------If they had a story, you know that had alot of background, and then one tiny scene, it would be better, but its from the start some weird story where a girl gets all her clothes blown off in an explosion or somehting

For me Hetai is just like art. Play Boy is a art style, charm is an other, mange an other. Everybody had a different style, but some time its too... pervert and when tha came like Hard bondage, I hate that. In my art class I'v draw a Manga but someone had destroy it becaus he said that is for gay. I'v said that becaus I think that every one had a different perception of what is beautyfull or not. But hentai is not a shit, is just a different art.

I think art is more than just the medium or the technique that's used. Otherwise, computers could be considered artists. I think art should carry a message and have an impact on the viewer. Some hentai probably meets that standard, but most of it is just smut. Though, to be honest, there's a fair amount of normal anime that doesn't really meet that standard.

Both can be true but what you have to know is the artists intent does he/she want to present it as art or do they simply want to make money, but really all it comes down to is how do you see it, as art or means of profit

ROFL, hentai is a type of anime category that male animators probably do just like lifini said. Money is a big thing, but mostly to older audiences. I personally don't like hentai but I have no problem with other people watching it. I agree though that I get disappointed when I see great animation artworks become hentai.
