Yeah, in my sleep. No pain because pain hurts. What a morbid question.

I'm partial to water, so I'd say drowning. (Plus that would prove I was not a witch! ;) ) But if I really wanted to make a statement before I left this world, I would choose burning. Nothing makes a statement quite like burning.
My favorite poem by Robert Frost, since it is along these same lines.....
FIRE AND ICE
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great,
And would suffice.

I would definity want to drown. I find it a calm, painless, clean resolution to life.
"Little drops of water, Little grains of sand, Make the mighty ocean, And the pleasant land. So the little minutes, Humble though they be, Make the mighty ages, Of eternity." -Julia Fletcher Carney
"To her, words were things of beauty, each like a magical powder or potion which could be combined with other words to create powerful spells" - Dean Koontz

Either very painlessly, or to protect something/someone I care about.
