It stands for, Black Entertainment Television. It's another kind of music video channel.

I don't watch to many videos but when I do I pretty much just switch between them.

Neither. Both have crappy music with distasteful videos. Though MTV stopped showing music videos years ago. It's mostly dating games, reality tv shows... bleh.
