I think it's important to be a little of both. You have to take care of yourself so that you can take care of others. But by far, giving others joy makes me the happiest :) Life is so short, it's really important to cherish those who hold special meaning to you. It sounds sappy I guess, but it's true!! :)

If you go by my blood type, I'm a giver (O = universal donor, so my blood can go to anyone).
