not present at times

I was wondering this ever since a friend here in MT told me he/she used photoshop for vectoring....I was like 0_0 ..

since vectoring became very popular here in MT, I wanted to know what kind of software those who vector here use----and why?

In my opinion, I vector in Flash......why Flash? it's tools are so versatile that permits me to correct any mistakes made and perfectionate my vectors and points (of course, I later export the vectors to EPS for publishing in another program like photoshop) unlike the other softwares that take mes double the time to do this stuff ^^; (specially when it comes to curves...)

what do you think? hum? ^^

Is the destiny of man controlled by some transcendental entity or law?
Is it like the hand of God hovering above?
At least it is true that man has no control even over his own will.

I've always liked Sodipodi,
I just find it nice and easy to use.
Small download and free.

I've used Illustrator for nearly 10 years, and I've become so used and ingrained with the user interface that trying any other interface (I tried Freehand once and Flash a few times) just doesn't work for me. I also like the relative compatibility between Illustrator and Photoshop, which means I don't need to save intermediate files to 'port work back and forth between the two.

I've never actually tried vectoring or illustrator, but I have heard that illustrator does the trick pretty well.

I only just started to try vectoring and I'm used to photoshop already so that's what I'm using right now. Probably in the near future I'll try out illustrator since I hear good things about it.

well personally i love Illustrator for his pathfinder feature and the smart guides,
Acylic suks, and Corel Draw is just for amateurs is good but not at all.

Ah! almost forgot. the *.ai extensions is the most standart vector format in the computer import and export protocols, even in 3d graphic

I also use flash, why? the same reason, It's easy, very easy. The bad things though is that exporting is kind of a pain imo.

I've tried using Illustrator many times but I've never figured it out really but I'm thinking of starting to try to learn it since the compability, as Tama-Neko says, is very usefull.

Illustrators pen tool is superior, but flash's vector editing capabilities are sadly far beyond that of illustrators, Corel Draws and Freehands. I usually start out with Flash for the outline, then color it in illustrator and then shade it in photoshop.
