Here and there from time to time

If you could, or wanted to go back in time, to what time period or where in specific would you visit/go? I was talking about this with a few good friends of mine, and one said they wanted to see some sort of memorial in action while it was happening, I dont remember which in specific of which she spoke of. Another didnt really know what but said they wanted to prevent something from happening. Our conversation was pretty long XD But interesting.

When I think about it, there are so many places in the past in different years that I would want to go. Not to stop anything from happening, but just to see them as they happen. Or even just to see what some times in the past were like. And I'm not talking about going back to recent times in the past, but like historical or long ago. And is there anything that you would do while there?

I have always wanted to see what life was like in Ancient Egypt. And when I think about it, I have always thought about it since I was little.

So where would you visit or go?

To be honest I wouldn't want to go to the past.But if I had to decide I wanted to go back to the Romans because i'm interested how it looked past there.

Normally here should be an intelligent and funny text.But I wasn't in the mood to write one.

if i could go back to the past i would proberly go back in time to somewhere where i stuffed up and try not to stuff it up at this time. or, i would go back to when i was a little kid and see what things i did and try to make sure i don't forget them.

I would rather be a poor, poor begger in a cottage full of books, than someone who has no desire to read...

I agree. I would only go back to the past to see a certain time period or such that interested me. Rome, ah, what an interesting choice. I think I would also like to visit that too XD

Since there's no way I could go back and be given birth from a different person, I guess that's out. Aside from the practically idiotic note I mentioned, because mother would probably be carrying the same egg that gave me birth, I think I would go back to the times in which there wasn't as much fighting on the streets as there is now. I know I would find the living conditions better with regards to being social with others, but it would be no comparison in technology to the living conditions of today.

You know I never thought of going back to when I was a child. I like that idea. Its sad really because sometimes I try to remember the things I did then. But then there are times when they come to me. I wish they would do that more often >_<

You know, in some places depending on where you go in the past, it was easier to get to know people. These days, in my opinion, there are too many boundaries within people. Living conditions I'm not sure about though. XD I know that technology was not that great back then, epspecially in some specific times, but you wouldnt exactly have to stay there, Just to see it for awhile then go back to your time. Your thoughts are good though. ^_^

Hmm... For me it would be medival times -> Norway/Danemark/Sweden >x3... ancient Greece... and Irleand -> time of Celts~<3... and... the time when they had built the Stonehenge >:3... to find out who, how and what for ;)...

I know that would be so cool to see them and how they built them XD I admit that there are a lot of other places that would be really cool to visit, but I have always wanted to go back in time to Ancient Egypt.

i would like to go to visit lord of the rings world :) it sounds so magical and a lot of "evasion" so different from the chilly freaky present reality :(
i would also like to go to medieval times = around 1300-1400 on England Kingdom ^^ wanna see the "100 years war" and the dynasty of "plantegenet" kings :D

Some of those places sound really cool. I agree that it would be neat to visit the Lord of the Rings world, though they were books >_>. But that does sound interesting too, to enter a book. XD What an idea

i proably want to see the life during Ancient Rome because i want to see the famous people during the time and look at its art and history before it was shattered from the world when the roman empire fell....

edit: i prefer not the middle ages because of witch hunts, disease and poor life style for peasants :(

I have too many periods I'd like to visit. To pick one, and to be different from the rest, I think I'd go to the Byzantine Empire at the time of Justinian's reign.

If I have 2 options : 1-I would like to go back to the imperial harem of japan of e feudal era. i would like to experience the life of a imperial concubine , as it really raise my curosity . 2-I would still like to go back to japan , kyoto to experience the daily life of a geisha. The colorful cultures of The Rising Sun really attracts me, hence if i had the chance i would like to go back to japan and experience their mysterious cultures.... c'',)

I would go to have a chat with Dali, and give him some Viagra... see how his art would be affected by that (always whanted to do that!)

But Going to Rome would also please me. The art would make me want to go as well. To see how it was done XD

I'd say go the age when everyone was still a pilgram new to the United States... Then it would be the Salem Witch trials all over again because I would go singing in the streets and talking to random people and walking around in nothing by my underwear, just to see their reaction.. I wonder how much I could scare them into thinking I was a witch. :nya:
