Why?
i really am
Sorry
You had to die
But since this is a war
I dont have time
To pay respects or cry
Ill just have to march on
And kill some more
Who have not done a thing
But since this is a war
All I am is a soldier
And bullets are all I bring
We were told to come over
And fight
For our lives
And since this is a war
To save a country
Every soldier strives
No one wants to kill
Were just
Following orders
But since this is a war
We have to keep going
And press on past the border
I dont like the blood
The screams
From inside
But since this is a war
From it all
I cannot hide
I wanted to be a doctor
Or maybe
An EMT
But since this is a war
On the front lines
you can me
Ive seen all my buddies
Get hit
Or shot down
But since this is a war
There is no meaning
To a cry or frown
Do I wonder
Why were here?
I try

I dont have time
