I've noticed, at every single anime forum I go to, this happens. Someone could ask for the best anime, the funniest, the saddest, whatever, they always get the same answers. It's either a) Naruto, or b) FMA.
Somehow Naruto is the funniest and the saddest at the same time, according to most forums.
Wtf?
Are these the only two anime that exist? Have fanboys and girls taken over to the point that any manga/anime other than mainstream anime is just not good? Anytime I make a comment about a manga that I read, it's overshadowed by someone who just read Naruto. No one's even interested in finding new series.
Am I the only one that's noticing this? Is there no want for new series? Does marketing really effect us that much that we don't even care about unmarketed anime/manga? The best stuff I've read or seen is fan-subbed/scanlations, but people don't even care about that. They go straight for the new TokyoPop translation or ADV dub.
But anyway, back to the question, am I the only one that notices this? Are anime fans just content with two or three titles and nothing else?
