Okay, I just thought of this because of my first hand experience with cadaver dissection. (It is a course requirement. I got over the initial shock, but somehow, I'm still bothered by incising Jane Doe's body.)
So... Einstein's brain was extracted from his head and preserved for scientists to study, so that they may explain his prowess in Physics. Galen and Hippocrates (if i'm not mistaken), dissected cadavers centuries ahead and studied them. Now, technology is speeding up research processes that scientists don't have time to stop and take a breath. DNA splicing, genetic engineering, in vitro fertilization and stem cell research...
Are you willing to do anything for the sake of science?
