This is a guide of what you should and should not do, when reporting a gallery item and/or forum piece.
Do's for reporting ripped wallpapers/doujinshi artwork:
-Do post the original link to the artwork. Don't just call it a rip without
showing your proof. This should be obvious, but you'd be surprised.
-Do post that it is a rip. Just leaving a link (or even blank) will make reports
go slower and not handled in time.
-Do post a full reason of why it needs to be deleted. Just saying "bad
quality" doesn't help. What's bad about it? Artifacts? Low resolution? Blurry? Be more specific.
-Do post as many rips as possible. This goes without saying, even if it's a
friend of yours, ripping here on MT is against the rules, and members who do not abide will be punished.
Don'ts for reporting wallpapers/doujinshi artwork:
-Don't leave the reason blank. As said before, this just makes it harder for
us.
-Don't report something because you 'think' it's a rip. This
can lead to unwanted controversy between members and have artwork deleted that might not be a rip. Make sure
you've checked your sources and leave a link in the reason.
-Don't report something because you don't like a member. If you have a
grudge with another member, see a moderator. Do not report their work (which may not even be rips) just to 'get
back at them.'
Do's for reporting scans:
-Do post the original scan that it was duplicated from. Dup scans are very
common, so you need to include the link to the original scan.
-Do post a full reason of why it needs to be deleted. Just saying "bad
quality" doesn't help. What's bad about it? Artifacts? Low resolution? Blurry? Be more
specific.
-Don'ts for reporting scans:
-Don't leave the reason blank. This goes without saying.
-Don't leave vague reasons. Leaving little to nothing in a reason hurts the
time in which we can take care of your report.
Do's for reporting forum threads/replies:
-Do post the original link of the duplicate thead. Saying it is a 'Dup
Thread' without showing the original helps us in no way.
-Do remember the rules about time frames. This one a lot of people didn't
know, especially those who think they know the rules, and post arrogently that there's already one of these
threads: if a thread is older than four weeks it IS ok for a 'Dup Thread' to be posted.
-Do post a full reason. If a thread/reply is offensive, or out-of-context, or
anything, post that. It will help us figure out what to do with your report faster.
Don'ts for reporting threads/replies:
-Don't report guestbook entries that are not offense. I had one where a
member had "Thanx" in the description for reporting it. Just don't do this, unless the g-book entry is
offensive.
-Don't report "Thanks" in Welcome threads. I had another one where
a member had "Thanks for nice replies" while reporting a welcome thread. Just...no.
Do's for reporting nudity/hentai:
-Do report full-frontal nudity. If you can see full skin (I.E.- Nipples,
un-clothed crotch) report it. This is considered nudity/mature.
Don'ts for reporting nudity/hentai:
-Don't report skin-tight. If the character has clothes on, this is not
nudity. There needs to be detailed skin showing for it to be nudity.
-Don't report it if you find it offensive. If you find it offensive because
the woman has big breasts that are unrealistic and are bulging out of her rubberband-sized tube top, don't report
it. It needs to have some type of nudity showing.
Please keep these in mind when reporting items on MT.
Thank you and have a great stay at Minitokyo.
