My favorite anime song is Zankoku na Tenshi no Yoni ( Neon Genesis Evangelion ) :)

"Fly Me to the Moon" - Evangelion is the most played song i have on itunes. Soukyuu no Fafner has a song called "Fly Me to the Sky" as if the story isnt similar.

As far as opening or ending themes go it would have to be "Eternal Flower" from Ai Yori Aoshi.

I think my favorite, unfortunately, wasn't the original song for this particular anime. Anyone familier with the Robotech series knows that the original anime series were re-written to make a bigger epic. Along with that re-write were new songs sung by Americans. Of those, my favorite song has to me "Look Up (the Sky is Falling)" sung by Yellow Dancer/Lancer from the Invid Invasion/Mospeada section.
