erm i just read the 1st volume of fushigi yugi genbu kaiden yesterday...i like it very much...but Takiko is going to be killed by her dad after she return to her world?(according to the mysterious play) Gendbu Kaiden is going to have a sad ending? >.<

O_O so little replies on such a wonderful topic...I absolutely ADORE Genbu Kaiden. In fact, I think it is much much much better than the original Fushigi Yuugi. Unlike Miaka who only knows how to pig out and depend on people, Takiko is more resolute and strong! She makes the effort to learn how to protect herself and go to extreme lengths to search for the shichi seishis. Oh and Uruki ^____^ He's just so drop-dead gorgeous. He is among one of my all-time fav male characters ever~~~ Personally, the story/plot is almost much more intense and good than the original FY. I am so obsessed with the series that I actually bought the Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden Perfect World every time it comes out coz I can't wait for the tankoubon to come out >_< Plus, you get really cool stuff when you buy the magazine so it's really worth it ^_^ As much I like Genbu Kaiden, I'm really worried about the ending though. Hope it won't be as what was rumored in the original series where Takiko was killed by her own father....(T_T) On a sidenote, volume 5 has just been released in Japan and so far, 6 of the seishis have already been found~~
PS: The Genbu Kaiden has its own Drama CDs too. The third one will come out later this month! The Seiyuus are really good! Takiko has the same Seiyuu as Kagome (from Inuyasha) and Chidori (from Full Metal Panic), & Uruki has the same Seiyuu as Cloud from the Advent Children movie (I personally buy the CDs becoz I'm a huge fan of Sakurai Takahiro)! I have them for those who wanna try hearing to it. Just let me know and I'll try to send them to you.

waaaaaaa.....well i just read the 3rd n 4th volume of genbu kaiden.....TTToTTT i cant found the 2nd volume yet... the fifth volume havent arrive i m so xcited....
yeah i prefer fushigi yugi genbu kaiden.....
but the seven seishi of suzaku all very handsome ne.....
hmmp i hope Takiko can have the happy ending just like Miaka's too....
a..ah...Takiko looks cute~ Rimudo hensem too~ perfect couple...plz dont separate them ~~>.<~~

But I dunno wat are the names, since I read in chinese...
But Ill tell you wat will happen, I read it already... the end I mean...
erm... In the end the witch got swallowed by the creature she summoned, (theres Suzaku, But I dunno wats it called, like i say, Its in chinese)
so, she died. as for the guy with ice power & also the water power guy, they became souls after they died & continued to protect the necklace the witch wored when she was summoning the creature.The Melody... My Newest Wallpaper comin up XD

I read the first one and am really into the story. I love Takiko's character. She seems a lot more independent and intelligent then most female characters that come out of Yu Watase stuff. She is such a great character! I love the LimdoxTakiko pairing.^_^ They were so cute in the bed scene in volume 1. I like the Genbu story a bit better than the Suzaku one so far.The characters have very interesting chemistry(Limdo and Tomite). I can't wait for volume 2

This is great! More Genbu lovers as myself! I love how the story is comming along but I'm always a little nervous seeing the outcome of the ending. I hope its not as bad as it sounds.

Genbu Kaiden is my favorite. Takiko/Rimudo is simply the best pairing Watase ever created, and the first pairing that I actually care about. I enjoy a Watase story MUCH more when I love the main characters as much as the side characters. In every Watase story including Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres, my avid adoration went to the side characters (like Nuriko, Tasuki, and Yuuhi Aogiri) and I'm so refreshed by this change.

i havent read it yet. but i will probably get the first 3 volumes this weekend. i heard its very good and so i am very excited. But i personally think that the characters from what i have heard are very well drawn lyk the rest of Yuu Watase's work. i also heard that the story about the the new Genbu girl and her *Tamahome look alike* is very intense and romantic. but i dont know for sure yet.

i like genbu kaiden! its exciting and i love the characters.. im on chapter 8 and te story is getting pretty.. i like rimudo whether a boy or a girl... he/she is cute.. i also like takiko's personality than miaka's.. i like this manga, i like to see it in a series.. :)

I've read the first three volumes, and, like all of Yuu Watase's other works, I find it to be absolutely charming. I love it. It's basically the same plot line as Fushigi Yuugi, but the characters are different. It's a very good story, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

i find the manga cool and nice...
ths s a splendid story,
