Like the title says.
I've been around here a while, but I've never introduced myself. I registered and sort of drifted away into a lull of inactivity due to high workloads.
Now I'll be a bit less busy, so I'm likely to post a bit more often.
I'm Xerdo. I live in Mexico. I'm 24 years old, and I enjoy literature, videogames, and anime, among other things (like J-Pop and sleeping a lot).
When I'm actually awake, I'm working at a japanese school as an assistant (mostly, communication and design. I'm not an expert at the language or anything, though I do understand it), or studying Online for a masters degree in Humanities / Literature. My major in college was Media Communication Science (pretty much sociology and the media, with lots of literature and theory along the way), but I also took many multimedia classes. My favourites were interactive media production and Editorial production.
One of my hobbies, ever since way back in the late 90s was to make wallpapers. Though I lack many crucial abilities and I mostly suck at it, I'm trying to get better. I'll be submitting (I hope), at least once a week, as long as I do get something of decent quality ready.
My most recent project (though nothing serious) is to make a series of wallpapers with "lyrics" of different
songs that capture a moment or feeling from the anime they're from. I have made three of these, but only two I
considered worthy of submission.
I'll also submit other artwork. I want, for example, to incorporate some 3D stuff into my work, but that'll come
later.
My favourite anime is Cowboy Bebop, but I also love Macross Plus, Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, Agent Aika, Ebichu, Yakitate Japan and Kannazuki no Miko.
My favourite band is Radiohead, but I also love L'arc en Ciel, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, and videogame Musicians, like Hitoshi Sakimoto and Yasunori Mitsuda.
My favourite videogame is Breath of Fire V, but I must say I really love Ace Combat 4, Front Mission 3, Metal Gear Solid 2, Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger and Super Metroid. I'm also very keen on retrogaming, so I love Atari stuff. It gave our generation a serious advantage in conceptual and graphical abstraction.
So, anyway, to anyone reading this, greetings. If I can be of service in anything, do let me know.
See you around.
