Haha, this topic reminds me of Michael Jackson. Jacko's such a perv. I think it's weird and sickening to have an obsession with children.

Thank you RainOfStars for the kick ass signature!

Rorikon is based on the tendency for Japanese women to appear very young and cute even into middle age, so being far more similar to a child than Western women. This makes it rather difficult for Westerners to judge impartially, and certainly I have heard few reasonable descriptions of it, with most of it being "informed" by the current mass-hysteria about child sex abuse, something which is totally irrelevant, especially given that Japan has some of the lowest rates of such crimes in the world.

i'm not sure i was specific enough in my original explanation of the thread. I want your personal opinions on the subject matter. Although, I do thank some of you for providing explanations for those who don't know what it is.

Thanks again.

I personally don't see a problem with it. Yeah they're portrayed as children in sexual situations, but I would much prefer these guys (and possibly girls) to be releasing their pent up energy on an animated characters rather than holding it in until they snap and take it out on a real child.

This is something I was going to type. Although there is this "tendency" in Japan, the child abuse crime rate there is very low when compared to western countries.

In my opinion, I don't have anything against loli. They are just drawings.

But I've heard that in Europe and Canada loli is forbidden even though they are just drawings. Can someone confirm it please?

yes, it is apparently illegal to import loli manga in Canada, not sure about Europe though. for more info check out wikipedia's article
