Ikkitousen was an OK series, I guess. The mindless fanservice, lack of any real plot and near-endless fighting meant it was something I could turn my brain off to watch, which is nice every once in a while. About the only thing I miss from the manga are the sequences that depict the girls', ummm... "satisfaction" from battle. :D Lina didn't get past the 2nd episode, but I slogged through it (basically because I'm a Hakufu fanboi.)
TenTen, on the other hand... compared to TenTen, Ikkitousen is nothing but a cheap rip-off, IMO (fitting, because the creators of Ikkitousen cited TenTen as one of their "inspirations.") The fights are orchestrated better (both in the anime and in the manga), the girls are prettier, and in the interest of equal-opportunity fanservice for the ladies, the guys appear half-naked almost as often as the women do. XD

The anime is being released here in the U.S. as Ikki-Tousen (coming out next month, iirc) by Geneon. The manga is already in circulation under the name Battle Vixens (a Tokyopop release, I believe.)TenTen (Tenjou Tenge) has been licensed by Geneon and is tentatively scheduled for a January release. The manga has been licensed by D.C. Comics' manga division, but no release date has been announced.
And to answer your other question, Lina_Gabriev is the pseudonym that my wife goes by on various other forums. :)

My impression of "Icky-tousen/Battle Vixens" is yuck! :hmpf:
It's basically like this, DOA + soft core porn + a mediocre plot to hold everything together = fails miserably. The only thing this series has is tons of flashy fanservice with no substance. If that’s you’re think you’ll probably like it.
However here’s some better suggestions.
-If you want soft core porn go download Futari Ecchi.
-If you want an anime with good fights, go grab Samurai Champloo.

Just got vol. 7 today, plenty of Kanu action (and pantyshots) in it. It almost felt like a spinoff, since she was separate from the main cast of Hakufu and co. and was doing her own thing.
Not that I mind one bit, since Kanu is the best char in Ikki imo...

She takes up nearly half of the book, so I'd say yes.
Shiozaki's really turning her into a main character now, which is good cuz I don't care about Hakufu (who acts even stupider than before). Koukin needs to ditch the cousin complex and hook up with Kanu, he deserves better.

I like the series, but the Manga is definately better. Just wish they had left the name as Ikkitosen and not called it Battle Vixens. just seems they were really playing for the naughty bits to sell it instead of the great story. (I'm a sucker for anything based ot the three kingdoms saga)

I agree, i Hope koukin hooks up with a nice girl at the end, happy ending. But Kuna...and koukin...odd couple, kasu dun seem like the playfull type. Ohhh i would love to see her smile, not the normal sexy way but smile like he acculty happy or luaghing.

i actually thought Ikki Tousen was the japanese name for the manga and they changed it to Battle Vixens when they brought it state side cause you know, thats what they do.
but i'm glad its an anime!!!
