I know alot of people despise pennies just because they arn't worth alot in many countries, but in places where getting rid of the penny has not yet come to pass, do you think that it should stay?

Pennies rock.
They can give you exact change.
I always have 9 pennies on me whenever I leave the house.
Along with nickles and dimes.
Maybe quarters.
But their icky.

No, I like pennies.
Their worth something, but most people would say their not.
Prices on items would be rounded up, which means things would cost a little more.
I like to save up pennies.
You never know when you will have bad service at a resturant.
A two penny tip is a good way to say you did not like the service.

well i kinda think it should stay because 1 the stamping press to make pennies 2 is a job that otherwise wouldn't be around and that many more people would be poor or in someother way unfortunate. know what i mean.

I don't really like pennies but I don't mind them staying. I usually give my pennies to someone else.

I think if pennies are being gotten rid of, the prices of all items will be rounded up. Which will cost more for everything and therefore rising the price of living. (I rather save a few pennies everyday. just imagine 5 pennies on 5 different items a day. 1 year = 5x365 = 1825 = 1 new mouse. :nya:

I mean, if the penny goes, soon they'll get rid of nickels, and then dimes, and possibly currency all together. Then people will be ripping eachothers throats out just to buy some groceries... :\

I suppose it would be best to keep the penny. I just wish I could find a vending machine or parking meter that accepts the darn things!! There may be such things, I don't know, but the ones I've dealt with tend not to accept them, so often times they just pile up.

Why not just make the money worth more so a penny seems like it has some value again. The best reason to keep pennies though is for McDonalds dollar menu when you have to pay tax!

You know that the value of money depends on how well the economy and if it is doing well it is worth more if not money is worth less. What you are saying is just like why not print up more money and give it to the poor so everyone is rich. the value of money is worth the amount of gold the country has to back it up. Oh yeah about the penny i think it should stay because not all prices are divisible by 5cents.

I collect pennies. One day I might buy a mansion with all the pennies I have. bwahahaha! Otherwise, the penny should stay. How would you pay $70.69 with exact change?

I took an economics class I know how that works. So in fact I'd be suggesting to print less money so that its actual value goes up. Like a reverse inflations. Now wouldn't that be weird.

I'm all for keeping pennies. When you think about it, if most people were to deposit the pennies they have just lying around the house you'd realize you have a lot more money than you think. They really add up without you noticing. :o

It's an obsolete measure of currency. The values that we deal with everyday now are big enough that a penny is really negligible.
