How does everyone here feel about discrimination against women or men just because their reproductive organs are in the inside as opposed to the outside, or vis-versa? I personally feel very strongly about this, and i feel that it's exactly the same as racism, only about gender not colour. IT SHOULD BE BANNED ON ALL FOUR CORNERS OF THE WORLD!!!(And in my opinion STRONGLY inforced by the law)

Sexism is still a very real problem, as is other forms of racism. These must be stopped, but to do that, we don't need our gov'ts to tell us that, we need to tell each other that its wrong to discriminate, and make the choice ourselves.

Male and females are different.. but that shouldn't be a cause for discrimination. You do have to agree, however, males and females do think differently.. act differently to different situations. Give it a few more years, u'll get your wish...

still it is human nature to hate. if we can just get over that i think a sh*tload of world problems will end. our nature dosent define who we are.

It's a matter of morals values, religous beliefs, and many other factors that can and can't be controlled. I just keep my nose out of it and try not to be overly sexist.

I belive that there will always be someone willing to hate, but the best U can do, is not to fall to his level, and keep Ur principles steady and do what U think is the right thing... at the end... thats all that matthers

But it isn't just about sexual organs, men and women are built differently with different functions in mind. Also, different ethnic groups often have a certain cultural or behavioural traits (sometimes due to genetic differences) often enough which are different to other ethnic groups.

Sexism and Racism is the act of discriminating towards someone based on their sex or race in a negative way. To discriminate is to discern differences. Everyone discriminates and to not discriminate based on the very real differences between man and woman, greek and chinese, would be illogical.

To discriminate irrationally is a problem, but if there is a real difference and it would have real effects then there is no reason it should not be considered. To deny there are differences is to encourage ignorance and breed hatred and resentment as people feel the truth is being supressed beneath a wave of political correctness.

The first step towards defeating sexism and racism is to recognise the differences and have those people accept them and what this means for their life.

Its not human to hate, its something we learn. Like the langauge we speak and the way we walk, talk or act. Its all based on something we have seen or heard of.
Definitly, sexism is a problem, just like racism, that must be eliminated.

From my perspective, I have encountered quite a bit of biased mistreatment from members of the other gender. ...I've been really disappointed by this, especially since I generally go to great efforts to avoid broadcasting stereotypes, etc. ...Hate doesn't ever go anywhere good. ...I avoid working for employers that pull that pull that business...
