I do not want any spoilers about how it ends but I want one spoiler :

Does it end well or bad ? I mean Does something happy or sad happens ?


Iv seen episode 1 and 2 , im sure there is about 14 episodes , right ?

I saw the series and I thought it had one of the best endings that I have seen in an anime.

its a typical open ended ending. i would still like to see an OVA thats a continuation of the series to see what happens

I thought the ending was good, but an OVA to see what happens where it ended at would be cool.

The ending was quite good... considering it was only 13 episodes (and one special) long. ^_^ The ending didn't seem rushed or carelessly thrown in just for the sake of it. I would love to see an OAV, as well. :)

@gamerman OAV=Original Animated Video. [aka. Original Video Animation (ova)] It's just an animated feature that was produced specifically for the home market.


Even though Elfen Lied is one of my favouite anime series, I don't think it would be good to have a second series. I think its excellent ending was exactly that, an ending. It may leave you thinking and guessing about some points, but that's part of the beauty of it.

I wouldn't want the series ruined by another series that just didn't live up to the first. :\

The anime ending seemed good because it stopped the story at that point. The manga goes way beyond the anime. It's kind of the 2nd season for Elfen Lied.

i think ep 13 is not a good ending, and the fact that i am sensitive to anime endings, but the ending was sad but superb...until i watched the ova. The ova is the good ending.

Actually, the OAV takes place somewhere after the 10th episode (but before the end.) There are several clues to that:

Like Lucy/Nyu having her horns AND her hair still being long, for one. Also, various characters who are killed in the last episode are still alive.

Honestly, I thought the ending was good, and I agree that making a second season would probably not be a very good idea.

Hoee ? Am I the one who think that Elfen Lied ed is a little bit dissapointing ? I really love the anime, but with Op Ed like that... I prefer to see more of the ending.

I shall die before it's all begin... for I don't have any future with me...

It was a good ending, but I was hoping that it wouldn't end. Its a pretty common feeling for me.
