The Void of My Heart
To sit,
is to sit,
but this day,
I sit alone.
Staring into the abyss,
waiting for you,
watching,
and waiting.
As I watch,
my heart begins to chill,
the fire dying,
the fire you set.
I sit,
waiting,
for you to restart that flame,
that once sat in my heart.
That majestic flame,
died.
Now sits,
where that flame was,
a void,
of darkness,
perched in my heart.
And as I hear you come,
that fire is rekindled,
starting a new.
From that void,
came forth a flame,
brighter then the last.
