My personal belief (and the testament of any and all girlfriends I've had) is that you check out your butt in the mirror because you're self-conscious and the lot of you subconsciously believe that that's where guys' eyes first move to. :nya:

But does one even truly have a choice? One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate...and thus defy the tyrannous stars.

The reason that most girl look at their butts (From my limitted knowledge that is) is due to not wanting to look fat. Guys look at many things, but mostly boobs and butts...so those are two points that women tend to fuss more over. For some reason, you all think that the size of your butt equates to how big you are...that's just my opinion. Sorry for jumping into a girls only thread, but I tend to enjoy these topics more cause it's good to get a better understanding of the opposite sex...less confussion for when I screw up...

I think... I don't look at my butt so often, even though I use jeans more often than skirt. But perhaps it's an effect of propaganda. Jeans are almost identical with showing off your nice looking round but, in other word: your sexiness. It is almost the same like a girl wearing a shirt which top button are opened to show off the nice looking breasts. I think it's pubic made image.

nah, i don't look at my butt that often...only when i'm buying new pants/jeans to make sure they fit properly, in the morning when i get dressed to make sure there are no rips XD , and maybe after sitting outside somewhere cuz i wanna make sure that i didn't sit on anything disgusting. but usually, i just forget about checking my butt in the mirror and i'm more concerned with my hair or makeup... XD
