I didn't remember seeing it, but yes, I did watch some of it on Adult Swim. It made me remember how much I hated it, it was extremely boring and one of the worst Animes I've ever seen IMO.

Yeah, I watched it a long time ago when I was young and I remember I liked it. Now they makers just released a Collector's edition boxset or something. I liked how the giant robot could transform into a dragon too !

i saw it and i overall liked it.. i began to fall asleep during some parts but overall it wasnt that bad

you saw the movie, the series is very good as well, but the movie is meant more for the guys...full of action..that opening scene..man, priceless.

the drawings aren't my kind though. i prefer those drawings like pita ten or school rumble kind.

find this story plot rather interesting!

BEST anime ever!!!!!!!! it was the second anime i ever saw, i was only 8 or 9 when i first saw it and i just loved it. i couldnt remember the name til about 2 years ago though, but since ive watched it like 7 times, and thats the entire series. the movie wasnt as good though, it was too short and they had so much to work with but they cheaped out a bit. the only thing in the series that bugged me was the ending, IT MADE NO sense!!! i wont ruin it for other ppl though. anyhow great series, worth seeing.

U are soooooo right my friend! The movie is the most blood thirsty, sad, exciting movies Ive ever seen. I know that some of u don't like it cause, yeah, the series is a little bit boring at times but plsss!!! THE movie rocks TO THE core!! And I think that the art work is very awesome. About the ending of the movie... well, yes! It made noo sense but it made me cry sooooooo much!! Im a very sentimental person and I couldn't stop crying! But neway, a great series and even though is short, is worth it for me n_______n

It is an awsome anime! I highly recomend it!! It has action, drama, romance and fantasy and meca all rolled into one. However if you saw it on tv they totaly chopped the crap out of it and it sucked lol.

I have seen the anime and read the manga..The manga was better I think because it is from Aki Katsu and the whole story is more interesting and better drawed! The anime was not from Aki Katsu and I didn´t liked the kind of drawing as much as the ones from Katsu-sensei!

One of my first as well, with mecha designs by the legendary shoji Kawamori. I personally loved the series, especially for it's constant flow and lack of filler eps. Felt like one long OAV. Took a long time to devlop and had many cool concepts, yet Eva stole it's thunder when it finally did come out.

Be warned. The movie is interesting in it's own way, but has no real connection to the series.

I agree with Juna, Escaflowne was awsome! its definitly one of my favs (uncut version of course ;)

I have watch it. It was really great anime. But for my badluck the last 4 episodes that I had
were allmost completely destroyed and I had to get new ones. But now I have watch it completely and it was great.

One of my personal favorites. Still my favorite OST. Great animation for a TV series of its time, loved the Escaflowne mecha design. About the only things I didn't care for were the lacking romance and the ending.

I used to watch the series when it was being aired on FOX (???) but... I stopped when it got cancelled. I wasn't interested enough to actually find out more though.

HOWEVER, I saw the movie when they aired it on Adult Swim and I LOVE IT! For a while though (especially in the beginning), Van most definitely reminded me of Heero (Gundam Wing). Haha! ^^ (sorry, too much of a GW fan...) but where was I... oh! The ending... Talk about sad. I love this kind of ending though - when it just leaves the viewers hanging.

Escaflowne: the Movie, is definitely on my top favorite animes now. ^^ I'm working on a drawing for it but I won't be done until much later (probably the end of the week).
