I'm just about to get my own paid web hosting for my upcoming website.
I'm after a fairly cheap plan for about 100MB and 4 GIG a month bandwith.
Any website owners care to point me in the direction of some good hosts.

I like bloghosts. They're not very fast, but for $3 a month, you get 100mb and 5gig transfer. Not too bad...and they are pretty up to date with their mySQL dbs, PHP, PERL, etc.

yeah you can have your own computer as a host. as a server. and you have to have a static IP from your provider.

Yeah, I have it like that. Unlimited storage space, yummy! And I can change every conceivable parameter, view logs, ban people (hackers or 0wned machines) etc... Nowhere's like at 127.0.0.1 !OMG...liek I've bean banned cuz I'm n idiot. DUH ARMY GAME R0X0RZ!!1!!!!
