If Shishio would fight against Hiko Seijuro in Rurouni Kenshin, who will win the battle?

In my opinion Hiko Seijuro is more powerful and skillful, after all he is the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu master.

There are several things that cause monsters.

Shishi-o would prove no match against Hiko; although it would be an interesting battle to observe.

Of course, there's always my theory of Hiko being an Immortal, which would make the battle rather one-sided, if it wasn't one-sided already.

I mite be biased but i think Hiko would win. Kenshin and Hiko both use the techniques of Hiten Mitsurugi, and Shishio was defeated by the ultimate technique. Unless Shisio knew about the secret technique and found a way to counter it b4 Hiko uses it(but how could he know, its a secret^^), then i would have to say Hiko wins.

Kenshin defeated Shishio even being beaten badly.Also,I believe that Hiko will overpower Kenshin in a fair fight,so from mine point of view Hiko will win against Shishio,though with some difficulties.And Shishio has a big disadvantage,because he can't fight too long,otherwise he'll have problems with his body.

Hiko vs Shishio? Not even a contest. Even if Shishio didn't have his time limit issue, Hiko would slice and dice him like no one's business.

Hiko Seijuro would definitely win because he is more powerful and more experienced than Kenshin in the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. And i think he is more stable emotionally than Kenshin, so Shishio can't play any tricks. PLUS! He does not use a sakabatou and he can kill if he wants(nothing holds him back), so chances of winning compared to Kenshin is higher.

One word 'Kuzu-Ryusen'. Having Hiko use this would instantly end the fight as Hiko's would actually kill him, as compared to Kenshin's, whose only wounded him. And as stated in the Manga, Hiko's 'Kuzu-Ryusen' is much stronger than Kenshins, as it being a thrusting ability, where size, weight, and physical strength are key factors.

Anyway, i think Hiko sensei would win with no problem vs Mr.Shishio in anime or manga X-P.

Well judging by the results of Kenshins Kuzu-Ryusen against Shishio and the level Hiko would have been able to take that too, Shishio would have lost the fight at that point and probably been in several pieces.

Hiko would surely own Shishio. His swordsmanship is so much better than Kenshin, and Kenshin could already beat Shishio. Even Kenshin thinks that Hiko is the best Swordsmaster in the world.

Hiko would win He is vastly faster and stronger than Kenshin, and also more cunning. Plus he uses a normal sword, which is lighter, easier to wield, and deadlier than Kenshin's. Note that Kenshin did not fair so well at first because he was injured, physically weaker, and all the blows he did land (all hit vital spots) were struck with the blunt edge of his sword. None of these problems would apply to Hiko.

During the supposed final blow of Kenshin on Shishio that he thought he countered (Amakakero Ryu no Hirameki) hope I got that right) Hiko predicted that even if Shishio manages to deflect the Fangs of the Dragon he sould succumb to it's claws. That kind of prediction is mark of a master. I don't think Shishio will ever know from his apprentice the details of the final technique if Hiko was the one who faced the Juppon Katana cause they may be all dead even before Hiko uses the Hirameki...IMO
