Who thinks that Final Fantasy is the best RPG ever and influenced every other RPG + square-enix just owns ? yes or no ?

Not MMORPG :D, Blizzard developers and their buddies rule in that section i think :D

SquareEnix does own, that's for sure, but while their FF games are great I'd say that some of their other RPGs like Chrono Trigger and Sekien Densetsu 3 outdid them. Keep in mind that I have't really played any of the Playstation FFs extensively as I have the older one and GBA ones.

FF is rated has one of the best RPGs ever, but when we speak in RPGs we cant forget diablo, baldurs gate and icewind dale, and now the most popular today, world of warcraft.
I guess i´ts a mater of judment :)

It'd be rated as one of the best Japanese-style RPG series, but those are almost completely different from American ones. On a side note, why is it that no one ever mentions Planescape: Torment?

Yup, Square-Enix does make the best rpg games. Story wise mainly, and graphics too. I will never forget the awe i was put in when i played ffx. ^^

square enix produces some of the best rpg's i have played , and i agree they are a excellent company, but other rpgs like earthbound and chrono trigger were great to , btw my favrite genre is rpg's and i haft to say as long as u get into the game and have fun thats the only thing that matters

FF is definitely one of the best traditonal RPGs,but don't forget that FF7 and FF8 are made by Square(not Square Enix yet).FF9,FF10 and ffx-2 are not as good as ff7&8.i dunno if FF12 would be great,but I don't expect it to be like FF7.
Square Enix also made a lot of other RPGs such as Star Ocean and Riadiate Story,but they are just fine.
Moreover,don't forget NAMCO's Tales studio.They made Tales of Symphonia/Destiny/Rebirth/Legendia............

PS:Games such as Diablo and Neverwinter Night are called APRGs.(I guess A for Action)We can't compare traditional RPGs with ARPGs.

sad to say, i've never played any FF series be4.. and i don't feel like searching for one, so maybe i will try the ffvii on ps3 if i can lay my hands on one.

All the FF are awesome, but ffvii is the BEST RPG out of all of them!!

My fave Square Enix games are FF7 and sd3...

sd3 gives alot of choices as to ur team due to the selection of jobs...

FF7 was the very first FF game i played and i loved it

As far as RPGs go I think ffvii is the best ever and a lot fo other FF games are great sa well. SD3 and Chrono Trigger are very good games and I think that they're better than alot of the FF games. I don't like the idrection the FF games are headed though, mainly story and character wise.
I absolutely love the Tales of games! Story, Characters and grafics are great ^^( I like anime style and don't mind 2D grafics)

i like the battle system for sd3... it allows the characters to move around to like dodge or sth instead of just standing in one position and wait for ur turn
