Brash, cocky, and headstrong, Axl is a Reploid like no other ever built. A former member of Red Alert, Axl idolizes Mega Man X and Zero and he seeks to become a Maverick Hunter just like them, but his inexperience in Hunter protocols has often held him back. He is armed with a pistol that fires Axl Bullets, and also Copy Shots that can solidify the DNA of defeated Reploids. The DNA can change Axl's physiology into that of the defeated Reploid for a short time. Axl also assumes any of the Reploid's abilities during that time, making him a dangerous and clever wild card to anyone who crosses his path.

Ive found their weakness! Without their heads their powerless!
