Final Fantasy Advent Children and Last Order Questions...

In the movie, I know that Cloud is wielding a thick heavy sword, right? But How did he become able to wield double swords??? Also, if there are oher techniques that you know that he uses in the movie (except for the omnislash he has inflicted on Sephiroth...), is there any moves aside from these that he has used? Also, even I have though I played Final Fantasy 7, I don't really get the part when Cloud dies from the attack of Sephiroth, then it seems tha he is alive again!( I am thinking that Zack's DNA was transported to Cloud's...) Pls... need to verify the answers to my questions... Thanks!

Cloud used his willpower to ignore Sephiroth's killer blow and throw him away.. Sephiroth then jumped into the depth of the reactor and was declared dead. Right after that, Cloud fainted and was brought to the Shinra Mansion along with Zack and they were trapped in some sort of human sized experimental tubes. I'm thinking that Jenova cells were already injected into them. Last Order is good but too bad about Zack's end.

About the AC part, you just have to watch it over and over again.

in the movie he used Climhazzard on the bahamut and Blade beam on the wave during the forgotten capital scene...

well... it's been two years aft he defeated sephiroth that AC was set in... so he could have trained during that time to use two swords... Sephiroth himself asked cloud how he gotten that strong too... haha

and yea... in Last order he used sheer will and determination to bear sephiroth's blow and defeat him... because he promised Tifa

Yeah thats something new they added to cloud. The 5 swords in one. its kind of cool how he disconnect the swords from time to time. Like when he fought with sephiroth and the building was falling. That was a good battle. I also thought that last order was short. And I tought that zack was kill on the cliff was the swords was place not on the truck.

last order was just retelling how he came to midgar in ff7 the game..this story is there in the game, just not in anime form. Thought the final attack that he did on sephiroth was kinda good idea, using all his swords and all....Cloud died? u mean at the meteor site? thought he was put into a comma or soemthing like that...

cloud died in the end? i dont remember such a thing... and the final attack against seph was supposed to be omnislash? i thought they just invented some new thing so viewers wouldnt be bored of seeing another predictable omnislash. i think it doesnt really make sense how cloud's determination or whatever allows him (whom in the game is like lvl 5 or something at that point) to overpower sephiroth, whos supposed to be level 50. in terms of storyline that plays a role, but its not consistent with reality. but then yea its a game/movie so

Clouds left his Buster Blade on the cliff where Zack died, and had himself a few new interlocking blades made. Awesome how they pop out of his Fenrir motorcycle.

just to add on.. Cloud uses Braver when he first knocked Bahamut down (if i remember correctly). The last move he used on Kadaj was Finishing Touch, the one that caused him to lose his sword.

Um Last Order is slightly different from what happened in FFVII really. I think I'll try to point out the exact differences..

the double swords are twin swords... see the lock at the base of the combined version? it's just like when he did omnislash..

Since i never played the game, i know nothing of this 'Last Order'...

Last Order is a 30 minute (or so) anime released with the Japanese DVD of Advent Children. Um not clear whether or not it will be in the US version. Basically it tells the story of how Sephiroth went mad.

Hmmh. That sword that Cloud has in the game is Zack's sword. The sword stuck in the cliff in the movie. His 5 swords are really cool.

yeah, i thought last order was a bit short, it would be really nice to see anime versions of the other characters' back stories aswell, like barret, red xiii, vincent (my fave!) etc.

but the omnislash at the end i thought looked a bit lame, i would've preferred a summoning, something like, say, knights of the round?
does any body agree?


and what about the bahamut. seeing as its the ffvii world, why didn't they create him to resemble the original ffvii bahamut?

Having seen both of these, I can say I enjoyed both Last Order and Advent Children, the graphical improvements in the latter over Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within are readily apparent.

But I still maintain that the film had a rushed feel to it as you got halfway through and suffered from excessive eye candy rather than go for explaining a decent plot. This seems to be a common problem with spin-off movies from Japan such as any motion picture continuation of an anime series, they seem to lose the atmosphere of the original often with only a better animation budget being the sole drawing point for crowds.

Advent Children was more of a.... promo I guess you'd say. It wasn't origionally supposed to be a 'movie' as to why it feels rushed. Square-soft just conjoined the animations into a storyline, probably why the release date was pushed back so much.

someone else said this above me, but yes. The sword that Cloud weilds in the game is in fact Zack's sword, and he uses the multi bladed one in the movie.

As for Last Order.. it could have been ALOT better than it was. There's tones of characters we don't know backstorries about, namely the turks. And alot of the shinra employees actually. Everyone else we seem to know quite a bit of backstory from the game.

Both of them were lacking in story I think, graphically they were amazing, but like I said about Advent Children, it wasn't meant to be a film initially, I'm not sure if Last Order was just a promo too or not, but it seems like it :P

Last Order couldn't have been made too long, because it would ruin the compilation of FF7. The story of the turks will told in Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, and Before Crisis. Plus the secret ending of Dirge of Cerberus kinda foreshadows a sequel, since it shows that G "Project G(Gackt)" is not dead.
