Not to be rude, but people who usually like solitude feel that way because they think other people arent good enough to hang around with. They find they cant stand the way some other people act and instead of being understanding and accepting peoples differences, they hole themselves up in solitude which in essence breeds somewhat of a selfish nature. People all need some time alone but if you want to be alone all the time, then its just going to be lonely for you and in that lonliness you will start to hate other people more. People who expand their minds with only themselves as a source tend to become warped because they're not open to other people's thoughts, and opinions. Living in your own solitary world is just so limited.
Thats just my opinion. Your case could be different, but most loners fit my description as far as I have seen.
