Recently I realised that anime osts suitable for ringtones can be quite limited.
I was using TM Revolution's Meteor for a year and i quite like how it started soft and gives me time to answer the call
before i make a scene in a cinema or lecture hall.
Then when i changed to one that bursts out in loudness once it plays, it gave me some embarassing moments.
I'm currently using Gundam SEED Suit 8's Life Goes on. :)
I like Samurai X and Evangelion ^^
I use SPITZ's spica (insert song for Honey & Clover) for my ringtone...
before that, i used Howl's moving castle (for family call), Pokemon ^^;; (for friends call) and MoonRiver (for general
call)

does it matter to u guys that the ringtone starts out loud right from the beginning...? cos i prefer those which starts off gradually, in case i forgot to silence my phone, i don't want to make a scene

my phone is polyphonic so its hard to get midi files sounding good as ringtones but atm I have Metal Gear Solid theme for one of my caller groups, Shizukana Yoruni as another caller group and Sadness and Sorrow as another caller group. I have the FFVII Fanfare (shorterned version so its sounds like Loz's tone) as my msg but that one is so loud. It went off in class once and I got laughs from everyone (mind you this class is Japanese) *hangs head* so embarrsed

I use the Gold Saucer theme from FFVII for my cellphone ringtone, and I also had it go off in class, but the reaction wasn't negative. People actually thought it was really cool, so what could have been a very embarrasing moment turned out to be quite the opposite.
If I want a softer ringtone, I'll switch to "Interrupted by Fireworks," the bgm for the date with Aerith (or Tifa, or Yuffie).

I used to have real folk blues from cowboy bebop, but i got a new phone so i am not using one at the moment..
Hehe, I'm using Fukai Mori by Do As Infinity, at the moment. I made it myself too :D A few months ago, I had switched to Sobakasu (judy and mary), but found myself retreating back to Fukai Mori :o
i have been using Chemistry's Wing of Words since last year.
and i still like that song, today howver, i changed to Jewel's Memory from Eiken Ova , the ending song. i love this song

Tokimeki No Hakumi
I use the opening theme for Evangelion. It was a midi that I converted to a polyphonic ringtone. Some people actually recognize it.
I use the (.hack//SERIES) the key/ring sound for a ring tone, i know this isn't a ost or music file.. but it just sounds so cool, and it's from a anime....so....

I mostly uses game songs, like SRW or often other anime such as Mai Hime or Gundam SEED Destiny...the songs are soooooo nice
