Okay, this is going to be a rant about events that have happened within the last six years. Starting with Middle School my 7th grade summer school...

I was taking core classes in summer school so I could be a head for the next year. One day my friends and i decided to go off campus for lunch. So, because we were coming back after lunch for our second core class we left our books behind. I can't remember exactly what went wrong so all i can say is that we came back from lunch late. That's when I found out that the Vice-Principal had called the police and informed our parents that we were gone. They had told them that we ditched school, which we didn't. I was kicked out of summer school and was told that I would never be able to finish my English class--so I failed the 8th grade. The good news is that I could take a program in High School for one year it was called, "Panther Prep". The program would let me have enough credits and go into High School without repeating a grade, sounds great, huh?

This next part I will be talking about my first year in High School in "Panther Prep", I was in 8.5 grade, not 9th grade.

I was so happy that I was able to go to High School and not repeat the 8th grade. It wasn't my fault that I was kicked out of summer school and failed that class. I thought that they had given me a huge break. I was terribly wrong... I arrived to my class. My schedule was 1st and 2nd Math, 3rd and 4th English, 5th P.E. 9. I was in block periods for Math and English, so I had the same teacher for two periods. About nineteen other student and I were treated like shit. We were marked as "bad" students and our classrooms were barred up! With security bars, doors, etc. We were like semi-criminals, we couldn't go and eat with the "normal" students for the first three months. After the first three months we were let out to eat with the "normal" students if we had good behaviour the whole week. Everywhere we went we had sercurity guards surrounding(I can't spell it ;X) us. So my whole first year of High School was the worst thing I've ever been through.

Now I will be skipping one year and going to my Junior year.

This is the year the love of my life came in my life. :D My junior year was going so-so until the second semster, I was having fun not worrying about boys... I was flirting with all of them(only the one's I was close too, I am not a slut ^_^' ) Then I met this one guy, he was different I could tell somehow. I didn't know how different though--(on a side note: I am used to befriending all knids of people, especially people that other's don't like. I tend to see the good in everyone and blank out the bad.)--A lot of problems came up while I was falling for him. People started to look at me different, act differently towards me and stuff like that. I am not popular, but I am well known as being friendly and kind to anyone and everyone. I soon found out that the guy I liked just came back from a continuation school, I knew what happened before but I didn't know it was him. During his sophmore year he was in Drama class, they were working on a school wide play/musical. His enemy a scrawny little boy claimed that my boyfriend had hit him during the musical, that year. That my boyfriend had beat him up and threatened him. I've heard both sides of the story and I choose to believe my boyfriend's side only because if he had hit him the scrawny kid would've had marks. My boyfriend is around 200 lbs. the kid was barely 130 lbs. His lawyer had argued that some kind of mark would've showed up--none did. So I lost friends because they believed the lies, my boyfriend was expelled from High School. Okay, let's head back to Junior year now, one of my teachers saw me with my boyfriend and he failed me. I was receiving an A and one week later after the report cards came, I had an F! I asked my boyfriend if he knew the teacher and he said yes, that the teacher hated him. That's when I knew what had happened, I reported it to the Vice-Principal that was in charge of those matters. Nothing could be done, no matter what proof I showed her that couldn't do anything about it. Luckly it was a one semester class. I now I have to retake that class in Independent Study.

Onto my Senior year(right now)...

Our school failed to hire a Math teacher and my class was left with over 20 subs within six week period. We did completly NOTHING... No math at all. Finally we do have a math teacher and he's trying to hard to control us. So hard that our class just rebels against him. I started school on September 7th or 8th and we stil haven't learned anything in math up until this date. Our Principal and Vice-Principal say that they are donig all they can do, which is nothing at all. All five periods of that class failed the benchmarks. None of us are going to pass this class at all.

That is all for now until something else comes up...

That - sure is - a true rant lols. .___.;; I`m so sorry you feel such fustration about your school life. I happen to enjoy mine very much but I`m sympathetic. I hope it gets better for you from now on.

There has really been a lot of trouble for you - I`ll just pick up your last paragraph. Firstly, you can`t lay all the fault on the teachers if you fail to pass maths. Maths at your level is very easy to self learn. Pick up the text book and study it. Set yourself the homework. If your class fails then it would be a result of a very slack, low attitude towards your studies. I don`t sympathize with that, I`m sorry. You can`t just take refuge in the enormity of it, in that you say just beacause everyone failed meant that it was someone else`s fault.

However, you poor girl - your school seems to be very bad. You should perhaps change one. A selective one perhaps? Or maybe a private one.

Well, good luck again! ^___^

Aye. A one very long rant. ^^;;

I am sorry about this incident that happend or is happening at the moment.
I do not the see the justice on your later education. Like they failed you and
stuff. I do not see how you can not say anything to your side. On the other
hand. Now, about your byfriend incident, I think its just unfair. I do not see
anything wrong being with your boyfriend and they will fail you. I just do not
see that fact at all. I do think that in your Senior year now. You can not blame your teacher for you guys not learning any math at all. As a student you need to be responsible as well.

Now... why havent you thought of moving to another school?

^^

Well. Take care and good luck. Theres always a new oppurtunity. Theres always
hope and theres always better luck to come. ^^

We DO try to try to learn in Math, our teacher doesn't teach us. No matter what, he just writes answers on the board. We don't have Math books at all, we only have work sheets. I know some of the stuff, I complete every work sheet within that period. Yesterday I tried to ask for help ten times and he kept telling me to sit down or ignore me. Now does that sound like it's ALL my fault?

That sucks. What I realized about schools is that if there isn't any centralized system of control (except for the DODS school system for military kids), it will never be fair. Judgement of how the school is run is usually left up to two pasty bald guys who think their mehods are productive, but really only work for few. Then comes the expectations of each individual teacher. You do well in the class, then mess up oncce and a teacher uses you as an example to make you feel bad, hoping you get the message to get back on track. That doesn't help, it only hurts feelings, jackass... Oh God, I'm glad I'm out of school... Anyway, you'll make it though crys, just hang in there.

That really sucks, and I'm very sorry you had to endure that. Public schools are very unfair -- I went through the public school system in Columbus, Ohio, and I feel that I've been cheated out of a good education -- and the standard of education has been lowered to benefit the illegal Hispanics (they're all Mexican to me, btw, and I don't care how ignorant I sound in saying that) and the blacks who think it's fun to play victim and be "stupid." I'm wishing now that I'd gone to a private school, or that I'd been in the Catholic school system, because the education offered at these schools is infinitely better than what the public schools offer.

We had state proficiency tests, citywide testing, all that garbage, and yet the public schools continue to lag behind.

I started college this year, and I'm very shocked that it's so easy. Of course, I'm attending a community college. If I were attending a private college, I'd flunk out, simply because I wasn't up to speed like my peers.

Labels are for cans. I'm not a f*cking can.

Quote by MiyagiRikku I think part of it yes. Why not ask for books or materials. But i am not saying its defintely your fault i was just saying that you could have done something
to improve the class or the way of learning with a crappy teacher. ^^ peace out.

Wow, you don't know what I've done in my school to try and learn. We've ASKED for books, we ASKED for a better teacher, NOTHING happens. The only thing they've done after eight weeks is put the Principal in our class for ONE day to observe. All she did was sit there and then later on tell us that he didn't teach correctly. She had a "talk" with him, it didn't help. Instead the next day he had all of us surronded with security, for no reason. They don't listen to us when he tell them what he has called us, I was seeing the Vice-Prinicpal with a few other students after class for two whole weeks giving out reports.

Okay...I understand the unfairness in your school. My school's only unfairness comes from teachers favoring certain students over others (I don't mind that). What I'd really like to know is why you haven't tried going to another school. Clearly if you saw how...unfair this school was, you shouldn't stay in it. Why should you have to deal with stuff like that? If they treated all their students that unfairly, the students should have parents file complaints...then the school may improve or possibly be put under better, just management. That's my opinion on this matter concerning your school.

If only, if only, the world were like this. If only, if only, it only existed.

I can't afford it, the other schools are far away. We can't afford gas and there's no way I could wake up at fove and try to leave by 5:30 to get to school. Plus all the other schools(besides this one snobby school) are ghetto.

I'm utterly speechless..

And I thought the school system here in Nevada sucked the most in America, I feel sorry for what you had to go through, or hear out Sally and go to another school. You should know already how shitty that school you are in really is.

If I may, I advise you to get your ass out of that school and independently study all the way; sort of like in your junior year. I know you can do it because I gave my cousin the books I had 7 years ago to now, and he is now more successful than I am. I have faith in you to pull yourself up... it's never too late.

The worst thing that ever happened to me was when I was a prefect, vice principle of the student council aswell, and one of the girls just stood up in the middle of the welcoming, and it was my responsibility to find out why. The next day I was sent to the principles office with three other prefects who came with me to find out what was going on, and was almost expelled, while the girl didn't get in trouble at all. That really sucked. I never mentioned the whole story to my parrents, because they would kill me if they found out.

Here, in the Philippines life is so unfair. The idiot president has no plan to leave her position despite all people disliking her rotten government. Our country is like a sinking ship, we need help...badly. But who's gonna help us? Only God, I think. I thought of going abroad and make a living.

Crys, if all else fails, you can do what my younger brother did: Get your GED at a community college nearest you. That's what my younger brother did years ago, after he dropped out of high school due to some personal issues, and now he works as the IT administrator for Rick Steves who does the Travels Through Europe series on Public Television. If my kid brother can do that with his life, inspite of dropping out of high school, then so can you. But only drop out as a last resort. You know, if all else fails.
