Now I know I know, it doesn't sound scientific to you, but it really is.
It's figuring out which creature or object was out first.
What would you think was first?
I think it'd have to be the chicken because eggs need to be produced from the chicken itself.
How would the egg appear without a source of creation?
I could go into detail but I'd like to know what you think.
Please share your thoughts. :D

i say chicken, from evolution :P
it evolved to giving birth to their young by having it in eggs and sitting on the eggs to keep em warm and such :p

If there were always chickens in the form they are now, it's a paradox because you cannot have a chicken that didn't hatch from an egg, and you cannot have an egg that wasn't laid by a chicken. The answered is, chickens and the eggs they lay evolved to what they are today from less complex lifeforms over the course of millions of years.
However, both chickens and eggs taste good.

Technically, the chicken came first through evolution, and because there needs to be a chicken before it develops into an egg inside it's mother.

Interesting question... a debate until today by us ppl. Let's see... in scientific views I would say chicken has to come first but then where did the chicken hatch? An egg... and where did the egg come from the chicken... so basically you need 2 chickens for EGGS! LOL! XD Mi answer ish: EGGS. I know, I am lame.

In my religious way of thinking it should be the chicken and if not religious, I would also say chicken, just as most of you say that it has to be evolved from fungus/algae.

Exactly my point. If eggs came first, they wouldn't be able to be heated by chicken's feathers.

I would say chicken in the relegion standpoint. As for the evolution side, would have to see if the race the chicken evolved from made eggs or just poped them out. Hmm.. maybe both came first at the same time.
