okay first of all, to get started with the MT world, i highly suggest to go read the policy
http://support.minitokyo.net/policy/
then you can go to the MT3 guidelines to know about the new features of this version, and finally if you have any question left, use the search option (in the left bar) ;). or you can ask me or anyone ^_^'then to answer your questions : to have an avatar (that's what below your name), you go to control panel (left bar) and then personnal options. there you'll just have to follow what's written (plus there's also the way to get a signature image, that's what you have below all your posts :) )
anyway, have some good fun and make some friends. take care and see you around XP

That means the avatar format should be a gif . Other ones : jpeg, png... aren't allowed for the avatars.
