Haha probably for me, i will use it to create my own new destiny and kill those who are insignificant yet causing disruption in this world... Somemore i also have a death god as a companion... not bad huh... able to do things with its help.. such as asking him to tell me the answers for my exams... cheat w/o anyone knewing it... haha since i'm the only one who can see death god! ^^

Hm... hard question. I would probably be freaked out cause of its power, but I would use it when necessary ^^. You know... killing people *looks around*. :D. Nah, its hard to tell when you dont have it in your hand. Every person is always loved by someone, and ohhh the pain when you find out that his/her family is on the funeral crying their eyes out. O_o. It would be hard using it, cause its such a dilemma what to do XD

welll.........i would kill this one guy, who i think deserves to die...but i would not do it cuz his mother and sisters all depend on him, and it would be selfish on my behalf, to kill him when so many depend on him...
but i would not kill anyone else, justice always comes out in the end so why stain my hands and conscience? i would rather wait for my justice to come and take revenge on my behalf than actually take matters into my own hands and killing...

hmm...as a matter of fact, i have 2 deathnotes given to me by two friends O__O real ones, but i dont think they kill...i havent written in it yet
does anyone else have a deathnote? mine came with a deathnote poster and L keychain, a feather quill and cd XD

I'll be a Kira person and think of ways so that there would be no patterns... and no... I'll kill people with mental illness and make them commit suicide so that no one will suspect that it's a death note and I'll probably/most likely kill with making them have accident or a case of the dengue or malaria, or sars, or bird flu, or cancer, or aids, or the like... then there dead... they will suffer first.
they as in the corrupt, the still to be found criminals, the criminals that are hiding behind fame and fortune and the shits i hate... then the world will be a much quieter place.

You must remember that you should have a picture of that person in your head while writing that person's name in the note so nothing would happen if you wrote "God" in the Death Note.
Anyways, if the Death Note fell in my hands I'd probably do what Yotsuba did: kill for my own sake.
This is a good question. If you made the deal about the eyes, you would see everybody's name and time of death floating above their heads. What if a person you want to die legally changed his/her name? Would the name floating on that person's head change also? Hmmmm.....

The thing is...in my opinion....
Evil is subjective, so I don't think anyone should use the Death Note.
I mean, like, some people think that religious fanatics like YOU, supersay, should be killed because of all of the shit that happens because of religion. Others would think that religious fanatics are the best sorts of people, devout and loyal to their God. Some people think that leaders are evil, and others think they're just trying to guide us to a better place. Some people think criminals are evil, some people think that they're just desperate. Some people think war and those involved are evil, some people think they're heroes fighting for a cause.
There's at least two sides to every story....So my question is, who the hell has the right to decide who is REALLY evil?
Perhaps if there really were some higher being called God, (s)he WOULD have the right to decide...
But then...who decides that God is a higher being?Anyway, until God came down and personally tells me that some people are evil and are hurting the innocent...I would never use the Death Note, and even THEN... I probably wouldn't, 'cause who except for God says that he's a higher being?

I think I would kill off all the people in school who are b*tches towards me and my friends, then slowly start to get rid of the heartless people in the world. but I would write a cause of death for every one, so that I wouldn't have the same problem as Light

That's a really good question...If I had a Death Note I can't say for sure if I'd clean up the world. It just doesn't seem to be a human's place to do something on such a global scale. Maybe I'd go as far as to kill terrorist leaders and war lords who attack innocent people. But as for criminals, I think they should be left to real justice-doers.

A dangerous topic indeed, but one that requires all who choose to answer to ponder the matter, revise it carefully, and then post... I enjoyed reading so many responses here.
As for me, I'm not sure yet. I know the extent of what the Death Note is capable, and playing God with the ability to judge life would make things interesting, to say the least. I can think of several people the world would be better off without...
Oh the possibilities.
