Well, this is both a poem and a fanfic. So, I hope that I don't scare anybody with this one. And it's a little long. It's a fanfic of the anime series "Naruto" from the point of view of Uchiha Sasuke. (That's a really popular ninja name for some reason.)
Well, I hope that you like this one. And if you don't really know what this about, then you should probably invest internet time and download the series. Or ask someone who has viewed the series through the point that this one covers.

Memories
The fondest of memories,
The strongest of memories,
The most enduring of them.
These are my thoughts....
Dwelling on the past....
The place where my dreams reside,
The place where my loves reside,
The place of my tragedy....
The streets,
Covered in blood,
The clan crest....broken,
upon the walls....
It was here,
My life stopped,
As did the those,
In the rest of my clan.
It was on that day,
Where my life turned,
The darkness consumed me,
And I uttered the words,
"I am an Avenger."
And my soul,
Was sold away,
So that I could avenge my clan.
And,
As the days passed,
My resolve,
Strengthened,
Even,
As my goal never,
once,
entered my sights.
And,
The name echoed in my ears,
"Uchiha Itachi"...
over and over again.
And as the years pass,
I have grown stronger,
the envy of my comrades,
I am the praised Genius of squad 7.
But,
the missions,
none bring me close to my goal,
just slow me down.
And,
Even my moronic comrades,
are getting stronger than me.
Then,
From the darkness,
A call comes,
At first I turn my head,
Then as time passes,
It sounds more and more...agreeable.
The messengers say,
"I'm weak and will remain so until I leave this place."
I am tempted,
I think,
and act.
I leave this place,
hurting those whom I was almost proud to call friends,
all for my revenge.
As,
I only thought of one thing,
"As long as I can get my revenge, I don't care what happens to me."
And as my former comrades,
Race after me,
I think of only one thing,
"I want power, at any cost."
And when the moron,
manages to catch up with me,
he does not stop me,
for I try and kill him.
We trade blows,
We,
The closest of friends.
And,
as it boils down,
I escape to a place where I can gain my revenge...
And there I wait,
Until the day that revenge be mine.
