I use google mainly but recently I got an extention for firefox called "groowe search toolbar" which has several search engines on it it's quite handy

I use both Google and Yahoo. It depends on if i find what i'm looking for in one or the other and if i don't i try the other one. It also depends on what i looking for...audio and video files i use yahoo but web pages and images i use google.

google is an information whore but it gets what your looking for ^_^ for most achedemic related stuff tho i use ixquick (http://ixquick.com) which works pretty well also as a google alternative
