If Lacus were gone as in dead, then Kira would be pretty much emo about it and that would change the whole entire series. Hey, maybe kira and company would lose if that happened...

What kind of 'gone' do you mean with 'gone'?

If 'gone' as in Lacus being absent from the battle, the alliance might be demoralised a bit since IMHO Lacus is their moral centre but they can still pull a win.

If 'gone' as in 'died' - Kira goes ape**** and kills every ZAFT MS in sight.

If Lacus were to somehow die, Kira would have a breakdown. Either he goes insane and evil, or incredibly depressed and angry, and blames himself (maybe suicide...). I mean, look what happened when Fllay died. I think he's more likely to blame himself than take it out on others. I think he leanred his lesson in the desert, but then again, he may not have the mind to remember. but he is the type to blame himself when he can't protect someone...

That's what I meant - when Fllay died, Kira went from stunned to "I want Rau's blood NOW!". :) Yet, Kira had already dumped Fllay at that point.

OTOH, Lacus had been his healer all that time & was Kira's point of attention at that time. So had Lacus died, the most probable scenario is that Kira goes berserk (times two) and then he sulks. Either that or Athrun + the Archangel would have to work overtime to take him down.

first of all in animes you have to expect some of the good guys die to make the story interesting or to motivate the main character

If she wasnt there, i think that kira wont be there either. The ending would be very lousy without lacus in the ending. Lacus is a very popular character and is necessary in the anime

One way or another, without Lacus there, that "last" battle won't the be the last. 'Cuz as much as everyone wants peace, everyone else is all to willing to kill for it. Not to mention that without Lacus (little-miss-peace-maker) there, the "good" guys won't appear to be as righteous and justified as they do.

I think no people of ZAFT will survive after that because Kira got angry and became "Super Berserk mode".But then,it just an imagination.

NO LACUS WILL NOT DIE!.....Lacus and Kira's popularity in Japan is extremely high and if Lacus dies and Kira go CRAZY....i think nobody would ever want to watch another Gundam serie! Besides lacus is the one who keeps everything together and is the soul mate of Kira.....if Lacus dies den it'll be the end of Kira

What will kira do without lacus he will be the only person that dosen't have a girlfriend for example like athrun and cagilli they wiil be togther for ever and poor kira will have to live by himself in a house all alone with nobody to live with exapte for athrun and cagilli because they will live with kira to acompying him and kira said that he want to die not live alone in the world by him self?And lacus is his life and she is his soul mate beacuse lacus and kira has somthing in common and both of them want world peace and to end the war as soon as possable and they won't have to fight any more .
