But my recent favorite has to be Innocent Mage by Karen Miller.
(It's about magic that controls weather)

I've read a lot of books, both in Spanish and English.

I like Fantasy and Horror genres (H.P. Lovecraft, Poe, Anne Rice, Tolkien, Rowlking), also Historic (some Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende).

But you can't never forget your first love: "Treasure Island" by Robert Luois Stevenson.

I love Tamora Pierce's Protector of the Small quartet. I also like the other books she's written. I've read almost all of them. I still have to get my hands on her latest books. I also love Brightly Burning by Mercedes Lackey. I cried so hard while reading it. So sad yet so wonderful.

I really loved Battle Royale by Koushun Takami (the novel)

I also HIGHLY recommend "The White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga. I felt like I was a character in the book the whole time, if you tapped my shoulder I probably wouldn't have felt you there.

You also have "Japanese Tales of Mystery and Imagination" which is a series of short stories with some really good and other mediocre.

I just read enders game and it was truly MAGNIFICENT. One of the best Sci Fis i ever seen even by anime standards. Only thing that came close is probably evangelion.

Um fav book series idk I'mm still an average reader. I like harry potter, dresden files (which is like harry potter for adults), vampire hunter D (novels) His Dark Materials. I think thts it so far lol

And hopefully if my book gets published i could add that to the list :)

hmmm...I've read too many books...I cant really choose only one of 'em as a favorite, they're all really good!
Though I have to say that the Stravaganza series [Mary Hoffman] is very interesting,in its own way...lucien...
and, I've recently started Cirque du Freak series [Darren Shan]. It's so hilarious...so erm...yup...awsome series....both of 'em,ie....heh
