Well there are plenty of AMVs available for viewing on sites such as Youtube, Google video, etc...

Instead of browsing through them all,
why not make this easy and post the best & most original AMV you ever saw?
That is, to post a link to the video itself.

And note "original"... none of that amateur Linkin Park or Evanescence montage rubbish! :) So cliche.
I want the goooood stuff, yep, the best of the best! Classics included!

I'll post one of my faves if this thread ever takes off...

hmmmm... I think the most original one I saw was "Caffeine Encomium" by Kevin Cladwell on www.animemusicvideos.org

Absolutely superb AMV, using the classical song "William Tell Overture" and clips from "Child's Toy" (which looks hilarious! >.< ) Everyone should definately check it out.

ps, I don't think I can post a link coz to download the amv you need to be a member of www.animemusicvideos.org so the site will just redirect you. AMV fans should sign up to the site anyway coz it's got crap loads of great amv's.

I even searched it for you :D it's on www.animemusicvideos.org. It's a FLCL clip called shameless rock video by absolute destiny (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=8259 I hope). The beginning is a little dragged out but i loved it. It was hilarious and original, with great editing and effects. There's one bit specifically which had me drop on the floor laughing, i was laughing that hard. You'll know the bit when you see it.

Oh yeah! I have that one too! I absolutely love that vid. FLCL is one of my favourite random comedy animes and the song is so perfect. The guy who did it timed the whole thing really well

Wooot! That "Caffeine Encomium" one was great, goes to show it's not all about vid quality. XD
The FLCL one was enjoyable, not to mention the editing job! Date Rape was also quite funny lol, and a bit disturbing.

As for the Rahxephon one, never seen the anime but he really did a number on that video; smooth fx! Good song too... For some reason I find electronica and classical/instrumental the most fitting for AMVs, but that's just me.


Now I wonder if anyone knows of this classic AMV, nothing fancy, from Golden Boy:

I really enjoyed the Rurouni Kenshin AMV with Madonna's Frozen. I thought it was extremely well done and the music choice fit perfectly with the editing.

I also really enjoyed the 08th MS Team AMV with Nightwish.

I have not seen any AMVs similar to these yet.

Euphoria and AMV with Rah xephon footage and music form frou frou "must be dreaming, that`s the best AMV I have watched so far.

But I wish I was a lesbian it`s pretty damn funny, original and really well done. If you haven`t go watch it now.

There are two AMVs that really stand out for me.

One is an AMV about Ryoga, from Ranma 1/2. It's to the song '500 Miles'. If you've watched Ranma 1/2, it fits the character perfectly. (The quality is old because the anime is old.)

There's also a Fruits Basket AMV, which shows several of the characters. It is to the Evanescence song, but believe me, it works. It was found by an MT member, Tasana, so really she gets the credit for finding this one.

THe only really good one I've found with Kingdom Hearts 2 was one called "Broken Promise." Sadly, its one of the few good AMVs that I've seen. It can be found also on youtube.com.

Silent_Rage by Alex_Aks, I believe the artist is called. This one is about a narrative song with Blood: The Last Vampire anime accompained it. Loved the singer/voice-r in the song, she really does have that sinsiter qualityto her tone, I honestly think she can be a VA.

Dont remember the artist name, but really kawaii. It is basically the trilogy trailers (or audio clips..but not sure) of Lord of the Rings with the comedy anime Azumanga Daioh.

I dont believe this AMV has a title other than the title to the FFX song. But it is a really touching video to watch especially with the music. :)

Haha..well i pretty much think any good AMV is an original, after all you wouldnt think its good unless you think its special.

Two of my favorites, that are really unusual, would be "Euphoria" and "Engel." You can find um both on

Euphoria looks like it must have taken SO much time to make, and the song is great. Engel is really funny - Asuka Langley with a guy's growly voice: Pure genius.

I don't care how girly people consider that anime, after watching that clip CCS has officially cemented a spot in my bad-ass anime list, and I will now watch every frickin episode from beginning to end including the movies, and embellish my room with CCS wall scrolls, etc etc.

besides that video, there is a Gunslinger Girl AMV I also stumbled across done to Sage Francis- Crack Pipes. first off, Sage Francis (the artist who did the song) himself saw the video and liked it, and when that happens, it can't go bad.

One of my favorites is "Tainted Donuts" for Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. I really enjoyed the way author combined frames from both animes. Since I'm an AMV creator too, I know that it's very hard to combine the frames from different animes to make them look lively. Also the plot of AMV is really interesting and full of humour. You can check it at animemusicvideos.org - it's in the top ten, as I remember.

Well i have so many AMV..Heheheh..my favorite is from X 1999 with the song Vater Unser from E Nomine..is perfect!
Another one that i like a lot is from Rurouni Kenshin with the song Butterfly from DDR..and another one that is really done with a good work is from Princess Miyu with the song Bring me to Life from Evanescence..
