If I can go (I live in France T_T ) I will definitely be there! Clamp is my favorite manga-ka, so it's just a matter of finding where and when... If anyone knows, or even has a clue, contact me please!
Will you be going to see Clamp in this probably one-in-a-lifetime chance?

PS: X is on hold because Clamp feels its amount of violence is not appropriate after the Kobe earthquake, and the Sakakibara and Nevada-tan incidents. If you don't know what these are, briefly, they were public slayings perpetrated by adolescents. They are currently trying to find a magazine willing to deal with their "shoujo-gore" magnus opus.
Here is their latest interview in Taiwan:

Tell me your thoughts on Clamp's visit, X serialization,... anything really!

Wow those are some interesting articles. I think it's cool that Clamp is coming to America (But somehow I doubt I be able to see them. Unless they come to Hawaii... or someone pays for my plane ticket.) and I love the fact that they haven't completely dropped X! ^______^ I'm dying to find out what happens in the last two books.

Danm I wish I could go, or that they came to my country.

About X, I don't know how much you can allege that you can't publish something because it's not apropiate for some real life incidents. I mean, there are a lot of mangas that catastrophes in any way are part of the plot, but they are being released.

I don't mind if it's finished on Asuka or in any other magacine, I just want a ending after so many years. After the new artbook was released I was hoping to hear something from Kadokawa, but there has been no word about it.

Clamp just felt it would be too painful for readers to see people dying in earthquakes after Kobe, and decapitations afer Sakakibara. Remember, Japan is a place where one is very much part of society, and it is rather untraditional to do anything to greatly shock (especially if you depend on these people for your income!). Also, it is not just Clamp's feelings: a lot of magazines aren't going to publish something they deem inappropriate. So we're stuck with a great, on-hold series. Arghh...
PS: thank you for answering my thread!

i want to meet with CLAMP! but i doubt that i can actually do so... >_<
boo~
As for X, now i understand why they hold it...thought its disappointing to see a major cliffhanger there, i believe its very compassion for them to do so...

the article about X makes a lot of sense now. I always wondered why Clamp would put the series on hold if they already had the plot all outlined and the ending ready-made from the beginning. thanks for the interesting links!
