In any Gundam series there is no good or evil. That is the whole point of the anime sometimes ... that the truths are
only shades of gray. There is never black and white. The whole point of Gundam is kind of like as long as there are
humans, there will be war. It is part of human nature to cause conflict. Although humans are striving for peace, there
is inevitable conflict.
You cannot look at Gundam Wing (or any other Gundam series) as a black and white good and evil story. There is no
absolute good, nor is there absolute evil.
I think most people take Treize or OZ or one of those groups as the "evil" one and the GW pilots (operation
meteor) as the "good" ones, but really, is there a difference? They are just fighting against each other. Both
groups kill many people, its a war after all. Each GW pilots have killed lots and lots of people, so is that
"good"? Treize's ideal is to create a war so terrible, humans will never want to fight again. While it seems
to be an "evil" plan, you have got to agree his ideal is for peace, and his plan might be the only one that
works. Zechs, while he works for Treize, he is also Relena's brother and he eventually becomes Milliardo and did a lot
of "good" things. So who is evil and who is good? There is no clear answer. Just go with the flow. It's a good
story on the shades of gray in truth and reality, and that's what makes it a good series.
In actual human history, the "good" side is whichever side that wins, because its the victor that writes
history. (the losers are all dead or dying, so they go down in history as the "evil" people because they're
not alive to write their own story) What actually happened in history, no one will know for sure. Because the survivors
will write whatever they want.
