Natsuki and Shizuru, what really happened? (Spoiler Warning)

Now, I haven't seen the whole series yet, but I do know a few things.
What I'm concerned wtih are the events centering around episode 22, and what transpires between Natsuki and Shizuru.

Now, Shizuru is caught in the act of kissing an unconscious Natsuki by Haruka and Yukino. She escorts them away from Natsuki to discuss matters.
During the conversation, we, and Natsuki, learn from Yukino that the night before, while Natsuki was sleeping and recovering from her fight with Nao, Shizuru disrobed and climbed into bed with Natsuki. Implications are strong that she did more than just cuddle with her, especially in light of comments made by Shizuru to Haruka about, "I did this on my own. I won't allow you to insult Natsuki".

I've researched numerous sites, and could not find the answer. Did Shizuru truly violate her friend, i.e. rape her, as some sites, including the entry on Wikipedia, suggest? Or was it merely some less than innocent contact between a misguided Shizuru?

I know it wasnt realy explained, but I guess that's where your imagination comes in. Whether or not shizuru "violated" as in raped Natsuki is entirely up to you. I think she maybe did because the way it was kinda shown and how they showed shizuru's true intentions.

That scene is one of many unexplained events that is left to our interpretation. Nothing concrete was revealed that I know of. Personally, I think no rape took place. I like to believe she was laying with her in such a way as one would use their body to warm another. After Yukino tells Shizuru, "I've seen it, just like you kissed her a moment ago...." we see that silhouette scene appear. Is it what Yukino saw? She never really said what she saw Shizuru do. Or perhaps that flashback came from Natsuki's point of view when she was eavesdropping on the conversation, because later on, Natsuki has that same flashback in her dream just before she abrupty wakes up in a hospital from her collapse in the street. Since she was sleeping like a rock at the time, this could be her assumption on what could had truly happened.

If Shizuru really did "it", she probably wouldn't be blushing while attempting to steal that kiss or perhaps she would be looking guilty each time she looks at Natsuki since she cares deeply for her and would not want to hurt her.

What once was good enough...

Didn't Natsuki eventually find out what happened between them while she slept? If she was truly violated as such would she have forgiven Shizura in the end like she did. Am I remembering correctly, it did kinda happen that way right?

Calgon, take me away~!

Like others have already stated I think that what happened that night is up to interpretation. Personally I don't think that Shizuru went to far as to rape Natsuki, but I think that she just wanted to lay with her.

True, but why would the "sillohuette" angle be Natsuki's perspective. I think it was what Yukino actually saw, but as it was only sillohuette, we can't be sure, and neither can she, of what she saw.
But Shizuru's description of Yukino's act as "peeping" carries its own implications. If it had been innocent, Shizuru would more likely have used "spying", instead.

Also, Shizuru certainly has a guilty look on her face when Haruka and Yukino catch her in the act.

I suspect the dream images of Natsuki's, where she sees Shizuru in a geisha outfit, are her mind trying to let her in on what happened, but she won't recall anything more.

Yes, Shizuru had that guilty/shocked look and that was just for a stolen kiss. And that look went away fast.

Shizuru did something to Natsuki but we don't know how far she went. All we saw was her shadowed form disrobing and laying down either on her or beside her. After that, its left to our imagination. The way I see it, for Natsuki, just the thought of her friend kissing her was enough to give her shivers. And maybe the thought of not-so-innocent body contact was in her head too.
I since gave up guessing new thoughts on that infamous scene. I'll stick to what I always believed about it for the time being X-P

I suppose it will be one of those "Who shot Kaji?" moments, no clear-cut information about what really happened, but a lot of circumstancial evidence pointing in one direction, with just enough doubt thrown in to keep people debating.
