Yeah, we saw Shishio burn to death and we saw Enishi ***MANGA SPOILER*** forgive Kenshin because of Kaoru's actions, so Kenshin didnt really defeat any of these two. What if they faced each other? Who would survive such an amazing combat?
Personally, i think Shishio would win. Come on, he defeated Saitoh, Aoshi, Sanosuke and almost Kenshin!

This is tough, but Yukishiro Enishi kicks serious a** so i think i'll go with him, i mean he did defeat kenshins ultimate Attack! And Shishio had onlly three special moves where as Enishi had mutiple assualts!

Also i would like to add that Shishio is cooler in some ways but enishi just has more style, skill in my opinion.

Enishi would probably kick his @$$$ I think. He is pretty damn gud compared to Shishio.

well, my friend, you see, i think enishi sama will win, because we all know that shishio would take much more than 30
minutes to defeat enishi, so, as it happened with kenshin, he would just die before seriously damaging enishi, plus,
enishi is way cuter than shishio.

Shishio can fight for 15 minutes only..so he'd get owned by Enishi for sure...lol
Plus Enishi has multiple fight moves that include flying skillz lol, spinning skillz, and dodging skillz...his speed is unmatched too...Shishio just had to rely on his flaming sword only...
Finally since we've seen Kenshin owned Shishio with his Amakakeru-Ryu-no-Hirameki, then with Enishi having an almost
equivalent skill of that jutsu, wouldn't be hard to know who would win...

I'll place my bets on Enishi Yukishiro. You can see that he's the only person who actually managed to counter Kenshin's Amakaeru Ryu no Hirameki!
hmm, provided that Shishio doesn't have his 15-minute time limit, he'll win against Enishi. Come on, he wasn't able to counter Ama Kakeru, true, but he SURVIVED it. So, without that 15-minute thing, he's gonna win.

said,multiple fight moves and you could not say correctly how strong shishio is (you can say he is really strong)
because kenshin was already injured because of the fights with aoshi and soujiro
...and enishi was able to break kenshins amakakeru ryu no hirameki...it is a difficult question but I count on enishi
not only because I like him so much but I also like his way of psychical fight as you can see when he fought against
kenshin in the kamiya-doujo at the first time^.^
I know there is not a real reason why enishi should win in my entry....so...take the reason I like him more than shishio,that should be fine^.~

All Shishio has to do is dress up like Enishi's sister, and then that four eyed pansy wouldn't attack. Also, since Shishio has probably taken over hell by the time Enishi shows up, he'd probably have demons etc.. to help him.

Meh, all i saw in the hell were skeletons and bones lol, i wonder if Shishio would want to recruit those. Hahaha~
I forgot to mention that Enishi has the 'super-nerve?' ability lol, dunno what its called, but this ability makes him react way faster than normal humans do, somewhat a Spider-man's spider-sense... When he activates it, you would be able to see his nerves appear all over his body... thats one more reason why Enishi would definitely make Shishio look like an amateur... X-P
I'll give this one to Enishi. In the Shishio vs Kenshin battle, Shishio would have been screwed twice if Kenshin used a real katana. Once when Kenshin did the 5 combo attack (Ryutsui-Shosen-Tzumuji-Arashi thingy) and when he did Kuzuryusen. In the final Enishi vs Kenshin battle, even if Kenshin used a real katana it wouldn't make any difference. Enishi was able to counter Kuzuryusen as well as all of Kenshin techniques (except Amakakeru Ryunohirameki).
I think this would be a closer battle than most of you think. Many of you bring forth that fact that Enishi was the only one to 'defeat' Kenshin's ultimate attack, only because Kenshin wasnt able to take a firm step forward at that time. While Enishi dodged the attack, Shishio actually blocked it(which to me would be much harder to do) and we were unable to ever find out what exactly Shishio's final secret did.
While both Enishi and Shishio's styles evolve around learning and defeating their opponets moves, Enishi's focused more on kenshins while shishio's was more of a everyone. Had Enishi fought Saito with his Gatotsu first, never seeing it, Saito could have beaten him, as we know Kenshin had difficulty the first time against him in the series, and Shishio would have fallen to him had it not been for the metal band around his head.
In the end though, unless Shishio could have used a one hit kill move on Enishi, I think Enishi would win from the use of his Kyokeimyaku(Frenzied Nerves), but still, we have know Idea what Shishio's final tech. was really capable of ^^
i'd have to say enishi. i think he has better techiniques, but then shishio is real good too...and he's covered up in bandages...that would limit his power....

My bet's on Enishi for this. Although he'll be lacking in that there won't be any midair combat, he still holds the nerves of insanity and Watou-jutsu as his trump cards. His sword technique was designed to counter japanese swordsmanship (Most of what we see of Shishio's sword techniques are basic slashes, just accomponied by fire), and anyone who's seen the nerves of insanity in action will know instantly why that puts him ahead of Shishio, eheh.
Enishi is a pussy. Shisio pawn his ass. and it is said on the manga itself that Enishi is below Shisio's level. and besides Shisio has more bloodlust
Even if Enishi has those frenzied nerves, his offense decreases but his defense decreases. His wound would be more fatal if he got hit by Homura Dama and/or Guren Kaina. Even though Enishi can jump and do stuff in the air, Shishio would just spawn those flames just like before the Guren Kaina hit Kenshin. We also didn't get a chance to see Shishio's final secret sword in action, the kaguzuchi. Also most of Enishi's strength comes from revenge for his dead sister, while Shishio is like.....bloodlust. It'll be a close match I must say

Hmmm, I'm not really sure about this. But I think Shishio would win. Would love to see a Hiko vs. Enishi, lol.
Shishio would lose. His primary strengths are not so much skill, but phenomenal strength and battle endurance. These traits would not constitue as much a threat towards Enishi, who has displayed near-equal strength and a ridiculously high pain threshold - he absorbed kenshin's Kuzu Ryu Sen technique, then was smashed to the ground from 3 to 5 stories up, but remained completely unfazed, stating it did not hurt at all. This resistance to pain would also make Shishio's Homura Dama useless, since the fire is more for inflicting distraction than injury. Enishi is also extremely fast, capable of not only blocking all 9 Kuzu Ryu Sen (2nd fastest technique in series) slashes, but moving quickly enough to strike Kenshin before the first slash is even completed.
Enishi is also the only character in the entire series to be shown consistently dominating Kenshin in a battle. Shishio was surprised several times and was struck in many vital points, including 3 blows to his head, which would have been fatal had Kenshin used a real sword. Enishi in contrast faced Kenshin when both were going all out, but was not even touched by Kenshin's sword until being struck down by the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki, and in fact inflicted numerous serious injuries upon Kenshin.
Finally there is Enishi's Kyokeimyaku (Nerves of Insanity), that enhance his speed, strength and reflexes to superhuman levels. In this state he is the de facto strongest swordsman in the entire series, capable of matching, if not surpassing, the Tenken Seta Sojiro in speed. Had Kenshin not possessed a (rather useless) technqiue (that Shishio lacks) to disable his equilibrium, Enishi would have had an assured victory.
Shishio has absolutley no edge over Enishi. There is no way he could win.
Enishi
Shishio all the way...Enishi was a pussy who needed Tomoe's smile...His power comes from his motivation to destroy Battousai...he can't fight at the same level he did with Kenshin against other swordman. Kenshin had problems with him because his own doubts and because Enishi style was exclusively designed to defeat Hiten Mitsurugi.
Shishio has more strenght, power, cunning, experience...he trained the fastest swordman in the series: Soujiro...so he wouldn't overcomed by insanity nerves's speed.
He received of all main Hiten Mitsurugi attacks directly (even the vacumm hit of Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki) and had stamina to rise and continue the fight and even then still had the the power to destroy the floor with his ken ki...and has Kenshin to his mercy....Shishio was defeated by his own weakness not by Kenshin...and he had to fight many others guys too (Saito, Aoshi, Sanosuke) He won against Kenshin in the first round and could have killed him if it wasn't by his friends's interference.
About Kenshin condition against Shisho...Kenshin was in worst condition against Enishi...he barely could hold his sword anymore...after the battle against Shishio Kenshin was a shadow of his glorious past....like Megumi said...he was hurt..he even fought with bandages....and not only that..he had psychological disadvantage because his past with Tomoe.
Shishio only know about Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki thanks to Soujiro...Enishi had practically all information about Hiten Mitsurugi and still lost....the first hit of Amakakeru K.O him...unlike Shishio
dunno..seeing the anime series where sishio was godlike and comparing him to enishi who is just so d@mn cool! is hard..
maybe they're evenly matched..although sishio limitations of 15 minuter per fight maybe can tip the balance to enishi
