I'm not an expert but i suggest getting a trim, perhaps upgrade your shampoo products. Use a strightener. Even I use it sometimes for better results.

What is it?

better shampoo. you make think those adverts on the tele are crap but they aren't. I have colour treated hair and it normally starts to look pretty ugly after about 2 months but I've been using that special shampoo for coloured hair and mine still looks the same! There is shampoo specially designed for split ends and frizziness

Cancel

If it's really that bad you need to go to a stylist and have them cut the frizzies and split ends off. Then you need to take care of it: make sure you brush it from the bottom up, slowly and carefully, condition it for at least three minutes and rinse it thoroughly, so on and so forth. An upgraded shampoo would do wonders as well.

Take the advice of your stylist. Most of them don't get commission for selling you stuff; they just want your hair to be as pretty as it can be.

My hair often looks bad if I wash it some cheap shampoos, because they are get dry then, but it gets a bit fattier and better after few days.
You could try a Shampoo of Loreal Paris, there are some against split and frizzy hair, afaik they're pretty well. Should cost about 5 Dollars.
Or search at google for some reviews of shampoos, there should be some.

Get a trim to cut off the split ends, you may have to change your hair shampoo and conditioner. If you straighten your hair I stress that you use a hair protector so the straightener doesn't dry your hair and when your done straightening your hair i suggest that you put any product that gives your hair a sheen in it.

If I had to care about my hair, I would probably be sitting in a corner, crying 24/7. First of all, it is as hard as steel, and you need to cut it with a lawnmower. Second of all, I can't do anything with it. And third of all, it works like a dust magnet. I wash it every day, but at the end of the day, it is all dusty, and I don't work or live in a dusty enviroment. And the worst thing is, it's curly, and I REALLY hate curly hair. So your hair looks good compared to mine. I'll just beat myself up for the both of us then.

I would also suggest, once you get the better shampoos and conditioners (and to be honest a better conditioner would probably help your problem) rinse out the conditioner with cold water that'll lock in the straightening ability that the conditioner has. And if it's a possibility especially now that it's getting warmer let your hair air dry, at least until you'd only have to spend a few minutes drying a few parts. Constant blow-drying dries out your hair, and try not to wash your hair every day the natural oils in your hair will help it's condition as well.

A better shampoo and conditioner, a hair trim and some straighteners and some heat defense spray

You can try puting on wash off conditonal for half an hour per week, and trim occassionally, this will help the hair to grow faster and remove all the split end... Don`t use hair dryer too often as it will spoilt your hair, let it natural dry... try to use leave on conditioner but not too much, this will protect your hair and keep it smooth...

Well I guess it depends on the type of hair (curly, wavy, or straight). I have curly hair and it's usually really frizzy, but I use shampoo for frizzy hair and put in de-frizz when I style it and it looks decent...unless it's humid hehe. But like the others suggested a trim would prolly help w/ the split ends and the frizz...get shampoo and conditioner designed for your type of hair or that prevents frizz and a straightener works (just make sure not to get a cheap one tho, it takes forever to work with your hair and it may cut off on ya o_O). I hope I've helped some :).

>Trim your hair at least once every two months
>If your hair is wet it's advisable to use a wide-spaced comb instead of a hairbrush.
>Never tie your hair while it's wet! (do this often, you'll get wavy hair >.<)
>Use a better shampoo and conditioner
>Don't comb your hair all the time, because in my experience, it causes frizziness!
>And try not to go out with wet hair. Because the dust from outside will stick to your hair. >.<

I hope this helps

Ah, no worries! Stuff like that is really simple to fix! I have really frizzy hair and it used to have more split ends then I could stand to pull out. So, trust me on this one. ;)

First: get your hair trimmed. You don't have to have alot cut off. Just a bit on the ends. That'll clear off your split ends. But, if you want, this would be the perfect time to try out a new hairstyle or or cut! Because, I mean, you'll be in the salon anyway, right? :)

Second: Take a step or two up on your hair products. Sure, you'll pay a bit more, but if really care alot about the appearence of your hair, you probably won't mind. I wouldn't suggest them if I thought they weren't worth a dime more then they are!

I suggest Bumble & Bumble, Redkin, or Sahag. All those brands are wonderful and have worked wonders for me!

And remember that short hair is easiest to keep up with, and it's cute, too. But, even though I know this, I still keep long hair. x_x It's a pain to get it in order in the morning, but with the products I use and and the as well as I keep up with it, it stays pretty neat.

Good luck with getting your hair in order and all! I hope you get it all fixed up as soon as you can! :D

You need to get it trimmed frequently so your hair doesn't get all kinds of split ends. And uh...Paul Mitchell is expensive, but it'll do wonders for your hair.

Try getting a different cut and having some layers added. ;)
My hair used to be all FRIZZCRAP!, but I got it cut shorter and layered and now I don't have that problem. Try it if you have really thick hair.
